  1. In this case it's Suburban Home that are the sad sacks that cant get it right. Ever.
  2. Just received another DAMAGED LP from Vinyl Collective. Is it so expensive/difficult to include measures to make sure the LPs arrive to customers with a little bit of insurance? There was the NO card board at all only the LP and 7inch (loosely rattling about). Three strikes your out Vinyl Collective. You are terrible at shipping product!
  3. Yep. Just received 2 LPS and 2 - 7" from Vinyl Collective packed poorly (IMO) mailer with the order receipt on top. No bubble wrap. No extra cardboard and the record itself was not taken out of the sleeve. Both LP had bashed corners and because the LP was not taken out of the sleeve - the sleeve was split.
  4. I received damaged goods from VC a while back and decided to give them one more chance (fingers crossed) since their catalog is decent and prices are appear to be fair.
  5. Great site! Thanks for the suggestion. Very good selection. Excellent navigation/search/genre list (the odd SQL/page errors now and again nothing a page reload didn't fix). Just received my order from these blokes (aural exploits) and I must say I'm very disappointed: every single outer sleeve was damaged severely (i.e. bent corners and damaged spines; one w/multiple bends on 2 corners) No wonder they're cheaper than most... (There was absolutely no damage to any of the corners of the shipping material it arrived in). Not worth the few bucks in saving if they send ya damaged goods. I realize it's difficult to ship pristine outer sleeve covers but if the customer comments that they'd like no damages outer sleeves then you'd think they'd try and honor that when packing.
  6. I have to say the site navigation here is very frustrating - when browsing the whole catalog. My main contention is when sorting thru Products (944) A-Z as if you where in a store - if I find something I want to put in my cart - I then of course want to return to shopping where I left off but the only option is that it returns you to "Featured Products." I would then of course remember where I was BUT the nav is done linier when shopping by Catagory (LP) and the Results Page: 1 2 3 ... 57 58 59 doesnt do it for me. The user experience is "I'm outta here" When trying to load up your cart. If I'm missing something please enlighten me - I like the selection here but the UI isn't very accomidating. As a side note - would'nt hurt to have a blurb about the music you're purchasing either... Ps: The Donna's Shouldn't be under "T"... my 2 cents of course...
  7. Title:Three Easy Pieces Artist: Buffalo Tom Label: NewWest PS, US VINYL VERSION!! Let me know - thanks..
  8. Great site! Thanks for the suggestion. Very good selection. Excellent navigation/search/genre list (the odd SQL/page errors now and again nothing a page reload didn't fix).
  9. I'm looking for the BEST online resource for vinyl. Now, this may be multiple places to complete the whole picture (I interested mostly in indie rock / classic rock / experimental / folk) - so I'm asking what your impressions/experiences have been/are. I just started buying online again (because the brick and mortar stores are sorely lacking in inventory for my tastes) and have found the Vinyl Collective which had a band I was looking for (Drag the River) so that's what brought me here. However, I'm interested in the flood of Re-Issues that are being pressed these days (Neil Young - Live at Fillmore East) and have found 2 sites that look decent to do business with: Music Direct: http://www.musicdirect.com This one has decent prices far as I can tell but not much of a selection. Music.com: http://www.themusic.com This one has a decent selection and is associated with the Classic Records label but prices are a little high. Parasol: http://www.parasol.com/ This site is poorly laid out and search is HORRIBLE but has decent indie selection. Thoughts on other respectable and reliable merchandise arrives in excellent condition)? regards, n
