nah all those were from record stores. all pretty random places within orange county/la/riverside. just search that shit. granted all of that stuff has been in a span of around 4 years.

some of the better store finds that ive been stoked on. always the best way to find things. overspending on ebay = weaksauce. get out and search and you'll find some gems over time. all just takes some effort. so much more fun to me and this is what "collecting" is to me. all of these were found after they were out of print and going for stupid amounts on ebay.

I was thinking of doing a regular jacket, maybe a gatefold jacket and a picture sleeve that would have the same cover art and backside as the jacket so that if people chose, they could put it into their box sets. He thought that most people would opt to keep the picture sleeve and record with the Big Dirty jacket.

basically thats what i think would make more sense.

also if you have or haven't noticed it doesnt seem like virgil does do a typical "limited edition" on most of the recent records. most numbers are evenly split whether its 500/500 or 4 editions of 250. pretty good idea if you ask me. get more people stoked on the music rather than the "limitedness" of the record.

ill have to admit im pleasantly surprised a little by the outcome thus far.

im not sure why but i have this weird hunch that there are more people here that just "collect" rather than listen. please prove me wrong. just a huge peeve of mine.

i have the boxset but i dont really see the point of adding another sleeve/record to the box. gatefold or regular cover is fine by me. at the end of the day its your thing and you can do whats going to make sense to you. no matter what not everyone is going to pleased

just do what you want and im sure people are still going to buy it.

With test pressings, is there anything ever wrong with the sound or songs on the record? It is, afterall, called a test, I hope my question isn't a stupid one though lol

there can be errors with test presses. they are made for the label/band to listen to before all the copies get made so they can be sure everything is where its supposed to be. if there is an error the tests are usually returned to the plant. also from an audiophile standpoint tests are the best version you will get since they are the first records pressed from the stampers.

not even close to being real. id get rid of the split too but those are some good home grown songs on there.

i sure as hell do. heard about them from the split they did with home grown. saw them countless times before they changed their sound. anyone wanna buy their first album "this chapter is called titles"

maybe check your paypal log? i ordered this from them and they ship with tracking and it would show on your paypal payment. i remember hearing their hard drive crashed with a log of orders. best thing i would say is to email them again.

great band. i miss there shows. the final show they did is one of the best ive ever seen.

i have the crayons 7" on red, between two unseens 10" on green, and and they slept but they aren't goin anywhere.

weird, i got my black copy from them maybe 5 days after i ordered it from them. no problems here.
