  1. Record fairs are a big one. It's nice to be able to mingle about with fellow hobbyists for a couple of days who all share similar interests. I've made several new friends this way and always look forward to upcoming shows, even if the dealers end up carrying little vinyl that I'd buy. One I'll add myself is -- the lack of easy fast forwarding, rewinding, and track searching/playlists. I think this does help with listening to albums in their entirety, which does seem to be a bit of a lost art now with the average person now only listening to a track or two at a time of a particular artist before moving onto something else. With vinyl, I find myself fully engaged in the music and the music only.
  2. Appreciate the props, man. I'm sure there will be more 311 reissues. Oh, and I forgot to list that I'll ship worldwide since I already got a question about it. PM for worldwide shipping quote for anyone interested who is outside the USA.
  3. Hi, I'm offering a couple more LPs after the interest of my last listing. 311 - Soundsystem (1999) VG+ to EX- Not quite as classic as the self titled, but I always preferred this one to Transistor. This is the hard to find original Capricorn Records pressing from 1999 with the catalog number of CAPVN 1001. Very clean copy and in good shape. It has since been released last year by a third party label and if you want to just 'own this on vinyl' then that issue can be found easily for under 30 bucks or so. Pretty much all of the listings you will find online will be for that reissue since it is easy to find and there are a lot of copies out there. However, it's unknown how many copies of this original press are still in the wild and when they do show up in auction they don't come nearly as cheap, as should be expected. It has a nice gatefold and good sound. The bass guitar really sounds nice and meaty on the vinyl compared to my cd. I'd gesture that this may be the best sounding copy out there since reissue companies generally have a tough time gaining access to the original master sources. Overall, not their best album but still a solid effort and a bit underrated. A bit more politically charged and serious compared to the two albums before it. I'd say this is probably their peak as a group and side with the critics for a change. I'm not sure how many copies exist out there but there appears to only be one pressing out there. Mine is still sealed and virgin/unplayed. A tad of the shrinkwrap is peeled (maybe a inch or two on the back) but it's probably among the best copies still out there. 4. I'm still a bit nostalgic to the format and probably have had a thousand of them or more over the years. Still play them occasionally on an older projector that has a pretty good built in deinterlacer. The default PCM audio tracks handidly beat the DD 2.0 on a dvd, while the pic quality is usually step down on modern digital tvs and pjs. I have a bunch of laserdiscs that I'm selling if anyone still collects 'em. Shoot me a PM for list.
  5. Hi all, I'm offering my copy of Third Eye Blind's second album, Blue. As I'm sure anyone reading this knows, it's been out of print and tough to find a good price for several years now. This generally goes for in excess of $150 (current average ebay completed average is $168 plus shipping). My copy's clean and a great listen. I'd rate it as VG+ to EX- using goldmine. The jacket has slight ring-thru from nearly a decade and a half of shelf storage. Pretty underrated album, IMO, and has a reasonable jump in sound quality in comparison to the cd. I'm sure it's at least in a few people's want list and so hopefully anyone who's been on the look out for this for a while now can secure a copy. I trade on multiple forums, including stevehoffman.tv, horrordvds.com, blu-ray.com, metal-archives.com, nintendoage.com, and hometheaterforum.com with multiple (100% positive) trade histories on all. If you'd like any additional photos, please let me know. SOLD Payment via Paypal. Thanks for looking, Sam
