I'm going to see them tonight so if I pick up a Tour press I'll sell my black/orange variant at cost if anyone wants to claim it now go for it but I'm not rushing to get to the venue either so there's a good chance it'll be sold out but who knows.

Oh wow, I didn't even know there was a tour press, did you get a copy, if so how much was it?

Did Protest The Hero have anything cool for sale too?

  2.

    ordered.... no hesitation.

Man.... wish I could have gotten the Wax Bodega version..... picked up the /600 and will probably never buy from ColdCuts again. It was $11 shipping..... for a 7".

EDIT: Would have grabbed from Amazon but I realized they also had the sold out Petal Scout 7" so I caved.

Dang dude where are you from, I got a shipping quote (first class) from CC for $4

  3. where the fuck are they?

I got excited and then instantly let down

That's insane that they didn't ship them out. Especially, considering that the pre-order page still states that it will ship out late April 2015 lol!

On Alesana's facebook page they stated that they have just been recently (10/20/15) shipping out the Confessions vinyl.

As for the Emptiness they stated that they have upcoming news regarding the vinyl.

  4. I really wish the vinyl buyer for Urban Outfitters was on here and did this for customers too. My last three orders shipped in UO Bags. It only happens when the inventory is shipped from a store, but still....

dude are you serious? did they literally put it in a UO bag and slapped your address on it? What was the condition of the records?

  5. I would love this. I have alot of releases i hold off on buying from euro sites because it costs an arm and a leg to ship here.

I agree, but hopefully the lowered Euro will offset postage.

Interestingly, I got a 3.50 euro postage quote from a distro there which would now equate to $3.50.

  6. Buying records from the US always sucked since USPS raised their rates, but now with the exchange rates going down I haven't bought anything abroad for a while. Good for you Americans, but for all Europeans it's a nightmare.

Sorry to hear about that bro

I thought about how it would be more expensive for you guys to buy from the US.

Hopefully the lowered exchange rate brings more US investment into Europe to help out your economy.

  7. wait a record from Europe is $12 ppd. How is that possible. Exchange rate or not that makes no sense.

That's just how low the Euro is going.

The LP was 9 euros with a 3.50 euro postage quote from React with Protest. Brings it to a total of about $12.50!

The exchange rate right now is almost 1 Euro to 1 USD

Going down in value of course. Apparently its going to be less than a US dollar by the summer.

This pertains to us since it makes purchases from Euro distros easier. And in a strange way would make purchasing from Euro distros cheaper than buying from US distros that have European releases.

Case in point, Deathwish had the Raein LP for around $18 PPD.

But, if you go to the React With Protest (Euro) store you could get the same LP now for $12.50 PPD! That's more than a $5 savings!

Of course you would still have to gamble on waiting for your LP to arrive, if it arrives at all, but hey that's the name of the game.

Its interesting to see how much lower the Euro goes.

Anyone else interested in getting some Euro releases?

  9. Here is some analysis. Djs were still buying singles to spin. Now singles aren't popular because djs play computers. And/or jukeboxes in the 90s and touch tunes now.

There you go, I couldn't think of an explanation for why singles would still sell relatively well compared to LPs.

  10. Also here is a cool chart about this hot trend for you to reference

    i8zSvQO.jpg

This chart's interesting for a few reasons.

It looks like when vinyl sales were going down in the 90s, vinyl singles outsold LPs by a lot.

It looks like 2005-2006 is as low as vinyl sales went before it picked up around 2009-2010.

Also in the current trend, vinyl singles sales are incredibly low compared to the sales of LPs.

It'll be nice to see the trend of increasing vinyl sales in the future.
