  1. Oh yeah of course. Well it might be the best to use this card system! A lot of universities have those. Mine too although I barely never use it :D

Yeah definitely. Never been to the US but I guess you have a lot of self checkout and stuff? Real (that's right ;) ) and other bigger stores already have a few of those but most countries around us are much more further regarding the efficiency.

Short description of mine regarding supermarkets:

Real: Probably the biggest markets around and similar to walmart and tesco (UK). You'll find a lot of other stuff beside groceries there. Prices are midranged but they have a lot of offers which you can find in a little brochure which should be available at the entrance of the market. This goes for nearly every market that follows ;)! They are also included in many newspapers on the weekend but I guess you won't receive that much newspapers ;)!

Kaufland: Beside Real this is the other big one but not that charming although a lot cheaper sometimes. In my area those are only found in bigger cities but I'm sure Mainz has one.

Edeka / E-Center: Those are usually a lot smaller and only run groceries as most supermarkets around. Lately you sometimes find E-Centers or Edekacenters which are a lot bigger and similar to Real. The atmosphere there is a lot nicer but sometimes the prices are higher as well.

Rewe: Another big chain comparable to edeka but from all the regular groceriestores this is the most expensive in general. It's nice there though.

Aldi: you already seem to know this ;) this is one of the cheapest but also plainest markets. Many groceries are really delicious even though they are cheaper but some are not as well so you'll need to try as everyone has a different opinion on this one.

Lidl: a cheap one as well although I like it a lot better than Aldi. Definitely give this a try if you find one!

These are definitely the biggest and probably most important ones.

If you or your lady need a drugstore go with dm or Rossmann :)!

  2. It's the little things that are the most difficult when you are a non-tourist traveler abroad. Laundry, groceries, etc. Learning the hard way.

Where do you usually stay? Do you have a washing machine there? In the most bigger cities there are still washing centers where you can wash your clothes for a bargain. Even though many smaller cities don't have many of those left as everyone has his or her own. What's difficult about groceries? If you are looking for stuff as a substitute for something you're missing ask me and I may now an alternative ;)

  4. Definitely try bus or train for this route! Plane will be too expensive I guess. Sorry to hear you're meeting so many people not speaking English that well :/ I sometimes feel ashamed for my fellows because of this as many neighbor countries manage to educate people a lot better, especially the northern countries.

Still, if you need any help, contact me!

  5. Dear Mr.Bannon,

I feel I should mention how much I would like a copy of the Pink and Gold Sunbather splatter. If you are curious about how much, you should read this thread I have on Vinyl Collective:

    http://boards.vinylcollective.com/topic/101745-want-deafheaven-sunbather/

If you are too busy to read that thread, I have composed all the macros I posted into a single album you can view here:

    Thanks for your time,

Oh. My. God. Give this man a copy of that record and an award!
  6. I'm 99% sure Victory has employees who put their test pressings on eBay. Every now and then a huge batch will be up from the same seller. I have two bayside tests.

Since when approx? I think tests of the older stuff is still in their shelves. Never saw a test press of After The Eulogy by BSF anywhere. I dug every single record that ever came up for sale by BSF but I couldn't find one of those. Hope they go through their stuff soon and put those up :D
