Okay so this picture is hard to tell by looking at, but you see the character drawings of the band? That is the inside of the gatefold. And in the middle of all there faces is the actual CD, although it looks just like artwork. The disc is half image half clear, and it is built into the gatefold. THAT IS DOWN RIGHT DELICIOUS! Not to mention the amazing artwork.

do you know if it is built into the packaging or if it just comes with a cd. i'm going to find a picture and show you what i mean about built in, itsssss sooooooooo legit! the real question is when is Hurrican Chris "Ay Bay Bay" coming out on colored 10". jk.

I actually have a friend who said he feels the same way. That he has grown out of them, that is. I'll have to judge by the next album they release, cause I was iffy on City of Echoes but have since grown to love the majority of it (my interest declines towards the last few tracks).

I know this wasn't on VC. But did anyone see this or purchase it? It has a record and a CD in it. It's gatefold and on one side the record slips in, and on the other side it has a special cut that holds the cd, and makes it look like the actual disc is part of the artwork. One of the best packages I've ever seen. Has any other bands done this? I personally think thats the way to do it. Package both a cd and vinyl in one. This way you can still rip it to your mp3 player or play it in your car.

I picked up the Clear w/ black splatter, cause the magenta went to fast. I love it, it looks crunkkkkkk! I'm hoping I can get the band to sign the inside below there pictures with like a silver sharpie or something to make it 100 percent legit! EDIT - i meant clear w/ silver splatter.

Hey everybody, first time poster, just started collecting this past month. I picked up Clear Light Blue "City of Echoes", and Pink w/ Red Splatter "Pink Mammoths" It's been weird reading this thread, I consider myself a pelican fan. I have s/t on vinyl, and 2 versions of the Interloper Australasia (pink and white edish, and purple and green edish) and I have a few cd's. But I can see how people don't think they are anything special. I think my appeal is there sound, and how it just makes me feel like its just a few dudes rocking and having fun. I know that is probably the lamest description, and as my first post, I'm a tad embarassed that I just said that, but maybe someone knows what I mean. Specially when played on vinyl. Yum.
