So I have been lacking in the area of record label activity. I've got a very simple website, I like it that way, but I haven't had a whole lot of time to promote and what not. On top of redoing the Sleeper Horse / Echoes of Harper's Ferry sleeves I want to add some features to my website that I am perpetually working on. I want to start doing donation based digital distro through my site for releases that I can't afford to physically release at the moment. I was thinking I could password protect the zip files to maybe encourage people to donate in order to receive a password. This would probably require me to change out passwords every now and then. At the same time, maybe I don't care enough to have a password involved.

Any thoughts on very DIY digital distribution and how I could possibly encourage even the smallest of donations while maintaining an easiness for all parties involved? Whether or not this post made sense, I have to get back to work.

Who does this thing go to next? I'm all done, I just need to add a couple things and it will be off.

Yeah I know. I just think it odd that someone would want to pay so much money for a colored piece of vinyl. It didn't take me long to stop caring whether I got black or something else.

This will be my first colored vinyl purchase from Fat Wreck. Gonna have to pat myself on the back whilst listening to this one. I'm a fair guy, but if anyone wants to give me like $500 for it, I'm totally down for buying a black copy. heh.

I'm still in by the way, but I can't really help until I get a package. I'm not sure I have enough to adequately pack a box full of good stuff, but I have stickers and could put a 7" and CD in there or something, as well as digital download cards.

Actually I think she sent it to the right address but something was wrong. Some shipping error. Last time I talked to her, I sent my only good address. Sorry if I have caused confusion.

Over Stars and Gutters sent me their demo a while back because I had booked a show for their old band... even as I was listening to it I was wishing I had the resources to help them out. Bummer. Great to see they are still going though.

Same place I think. I was next on the list I believe although someone may have been bumped in front of me for faster shipping purposes. Point is, I haven't seen it yet.

What's funny is when his explanations actually make sense and no one can really argue the point. I think if I got a ton of orders a month it would be hard for me in the same way, no one helps me with my label. Now school and work occupy more time than I care for, though I attribute that mostly to work. I completely understand emails not working, sites crashing, orders going to the wrong addresses because of paypal accounts and what not. Shit happens, but it is very frustrating when your order gets messed up and you can't get a hold of anyone.

I will send the 10 or 11 bucks to paypal if you have one....would anyone object if I was bumped up to #4 and I will send it to Tobinownlife? I was very new when this started and agreed to stay 2nd to last, regaurdless of who got added to the list, just in case I'd flake....I'm not THAT new anymore....And I got a few things to put in the box ready to go....whatya say?

Yeah that will cost me 20 but...oh well I can afford it this week, and maybe we should try to keep it to lighter junk. It must be pretty good sized to be $11....Oh I just thought of sumthin, If you don't have paypal....I know another way to do it...It be nice just to get this box movin again....and maybe if anyone thinks they will run into the same problem, speak up now.

Best of luck. Getting shit done does help a lot. I think I'm going to go home and clean the whole place and finish unpacking. I want to get all my books and records situated. Seeing progress does wonders. Jobs can get you stuck down in this place where you don't see much progress to your work. I hate that.

...oh, and on the whole medication/professional thing, psychiatrists are the ones that prescribe medicine. Psychologists just do the talking and the assisting with life problems.

I feel ya. I was thinking about seeing a psychologists just to see what it was like. I'm having a shit time with my ex whom I live with. My guts have been spilled all over this past weekend.

- Don't have a girlfriend anymore.

- Moving is sucking terrific ass.

- I have no money because the guy that owes me money is being taken to court by his bank.

- tuition is due August 4 along with rent and bills

+ I have pot again and beer is still there for me.

The thing about seeing a psychologist is that they can really tell you what might work. I think a good psychologists would listen and give you some ideas and give you time to work through the issues instead of saying this is what you are going to do and it will work, dammit.

You have your psychologists, your psychiatrists, therapists, social workers disguised as psychologists (the ones that give you drug evalutations after DUI's and shit, these people could ruin you with their forms and checklists)

I enjoy being away from home too much. This probably won't translate well in a marriage. It already causes problems sometimes.

I was thinking Mel Gibson myself. Well, it got out of hand at first but some of it was expected and we wanted to keep on a long term roommate. He paid regularly. Then he stopped, and would get me money sporadically. He was going to pay off everything with this money he was getting for school, but that didn't come through the way it was planned and that's a huge chunk of money got added on for bounced checks and what not. Basically a shitty situation. Could honestly be worse.

$2000. I now have -$500 because of him and the fees just keep adding up.

I have heard if you write someone and say you owe me... say $500, but they really owe you $300, and if they write back saying "I don't owe you $500 I owe you $300, that's enough to take them to court for the $300. Recording the conversation just seemed like an extension of that.
