Is pink Floyd a nice pair worth it
Bigj713 replied to Bigj713's topic in Everything Else Message Board
Sorry for the punctuation. I went and order "a nice pair" I'll get the two albums later in the future. -
I'm kinda new to the vinyl world and my favorite albums are the first two pink Floyd albums I would like to own them but I can't afford to spend 100 on these two right now I have no problem saving up for them but I've always been tempted to get a nice pair since it comes with both of them and usually you can find them for around 20 I really don't know what to do I read they changed a few songs but is it that bad that I should stay away from it or what?

Here's my new set up before I was using a crappy radioshack pre amp a crappy needle and crappy computer speakers so to me this is an upgrade I'm proud of -
i believe it's a surround sound one Ay recommendation for a good affordable hifi one? My bro told me it was a really good and it weighs a ton Btw I just ordered a pair of dayton b652 speakers
-
it was my cheap Pyle pre amp that made the humming sound I hooked up my new tc 750 and I don't hear anything it's amazing now I'm getting new speakers next week
-
how would I fix the power supply I know how to ground my turntable when I dj and used a mixer I never got that sound
-
So after a good six months of starting to get into vinyl again I decided to get serious about it and started to want to upgrade my set up. First thing I did was get a better pre amp (tc 750) and a better cartridge (shure m44g). Right now I'm using my old computer speakers they sound decent, but I know my set up can sound better. My brother gave me his harman kardon receiver, its suppose to be good, but it doesn't has a phono input. I'm thinking of getting these klh speakers on craiglist. My big wondering since I'm gonna be going to pre amp to receiver how does this usually sound will I get this humming? Should I try to sell this receiver and pre amp and get a vintage receiver? Or should I get leapster amp and do pre amp to amp?
-
yea I have my table grounded and the the other side is grounded to my pre ampI'm going to a local record store Sunday I called they said they'll install it for me
-
yea with my old needle I never had that humming sound
-
i wanted to get the m97xe but I don't have the best set up so I was scared I wouldn't be able to hear the highs really good and I read that it's more quite What about that humming sound I'm getting it kinda sounds like when you don't have the head shell connected to the tone arm
-
So I just bought a new cartridge a shure m44g I came home and this was my first time ever installing a cartridge to a headshell it took a while but I got it mounted I was excited to try it and when I played a record I got a buzzing sound no sound on my right side and no bass I put all the colors right so I don't know what I did wrong my old needle didn't have these problems and it was a cheaper one any suggestions would be very appreciative I really want to start listening to my records again
