Haha I realize that's not going to be a popular opinion, it's not my place to speak about that situation so I won't. I do know what went down, more so than what is public information. RJ is a good dude.

Im not putting his business out in the open, there were less of those pressed and I thought people would like to know how much rarer their older copies are than all of the represses.. RJ is a good dude who got a bad wrap for shit that was beyond his control.

Haha why is this such a big deal? It just means the copies you have are more rare than you thought.. I had this info because I'm friends with RJ and he told me a long time ago. He ended up delaying his press so the bands could come out first out of respect and then cut back on what was pressed because whatever he was pressing had to be done at all once. I think there may have been a concern that the market was flooded.. The band pressed 4 colors and he pressed 7..

I'm in the process of wrapping up the layout on the comp.. We are including a dedication list, family and friends who were lost to cancer. If you have a name you would like to include please send me a pm..

As far as the cost of covers go, mechanicals will be handled appropriately. Some are going to be paid and some will/have been waived. (These are associated with the cost of producing the record and need to be determined by how many records are sold and pressed) We are still finalizing the cost of pressing with the plant, the final quote is not in yet. But to estimate the coat will be between $15-$20 per record so we will be donating $20-$25 per record (plus any overage in shipping left over) Thanks M.

If you have a question about the logistics of this compilation feel free to ask and I will answer you.. No one is hiding anything, there is no need to say make shit up.. Ask me and I will tell you... We are a registered & incorporated non-profit in the state of NJ, we have to file corporate taxes, we have to account for every expense and show where every penny goes. We have a tax id number (by nature those are tied to personal social security numbers so that I am held accountable for every expense and liable). There are huge legal ramifications here, with that said I think its safe to assume that we are doing what we say with the money.

While on the topic of how you don't know anything about anything.. "The charity he set up" ?!? Are you referring to the memorial fund that was created when he died? I'm pretty sure he didn't have any say in that organization since oh you know he wasn't alive.. There is a mechanical royalty associated with a cover.. There is no need for a band to get permission to cover a song. You have zero clue how the recording indistry works. I'm trying to sit here and ignore this but it's fucking gross.. Bands do deserve to be paid on their songs but if blink wanted to cover the Beatles they can and they pay a mechanical and it's all on the up and up.. It's the way it is.

Dude Im more than capable of taking criticism, you have an issue with Ross and probably me now because I said something. Im trying to release music and help a cause period, there is nothing for me to personally gain from this record other then the feeling that I did something positive. Im investing time and money and I am not taking a penny, if there is money left over from shipping it is being donated period. Make fun of me as a person and say what you want but there is no need to try and knock down a project being released by people trying to create positive change. I'm a person who lost a parent and other family and friends to a terrible disease and if there is something I can do to help others not have to experience that Im going to do it. you can say Im ugly, I have bad taste in music, Im fat.. whatever I just don't see the need to try and damage what we are working on here period. Criticize me all you want.

Because no one appears to read anything I will say this again. THIS IS A COMPILATION FOR CHARITY, after the cost of shipping and pressing are taken out of the equation 100% of the money is being donated. If there is a discrepancy of a dollar or two in the actual cost of shipping and what was charged it is also being donated. Would it really have mattered if this was sold for $49 shipped as opposed to $40 plus shipping? You are getting a beautiful record with 37 songs and helping a good cause. No on this end is taking a penny.. If you don't want to pay for shipping and you really just want the songs hold off and you can buy the digital when it goes up, or be a jerk and download it for free. here is what the first press will look like (this is a mock up but you get the idea)

EUROPE is expensive, there is nothing I can do about that.. please hold back the complaints, I would rather offer it as an option than not.. Its the nature of international shipping.. Arctic Rodeo does amazing releases but I generally can't justify paying to ship here so I don't order it. There is no need to complain about shipping..

Thanks! It was easy.. I actually got everyone on board for the comp in like 2 weeks.. this think came up as an idea when Ross and I first spoke about it in mid-october.. It all just fell into place!

Thanks for your question.. We've managed to work stuff out with our friends at Big Scary Monsters. We will be shipping through them to the UK and Europe.. Because of this it will only cost about $4 more to ship to the UK than to the US.. Europe will be a bit more expensive but thats the best we can do! I hope that helps M.
