I purchased these Bluetooth ones a while back and still use them. It blocks out the surrounding noise and they don't sound too bad. But then again, I don't have a good pair of headphones to compare, so.

I've been eyeing the Shure that jonrawks posted for a bit now but haven't pulled the trigger on them. For some reason I feel like I shouldn't spend $100 on a pair of IEMs. Feel like I could get a better sound out of a pair of normal headphones. But I'm probably wrong.

Terribly sorry you received some sarcasm along with some helpful advice. I hope you'll be able to live through the night.

someone wanna grab that flexis for me???
What flexis? I don't see any for sale. Unless you're talking about the old flexis.

Will wait until I hear the first single. Kurt is longer in the band, if I remember, so I'm curious on the sound.

All I want is a Florian Bertmer. I think the artwork for it is great. The Randy Ortiz one is trippy, but equally great.

I've listened to a bit of Celestial and I remember liking it. Does anyone recommend I listen to the remastered for a full listen instead?

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I could've sworn those were $200 earlier this week.
If that was the case, I hope they don't correct you. I need me an XL.

I'm just befuddled that anyone in this thread was expecting anything other than pure trash from Linkin Park in 2017. Like it's blowing my mind right now.
Teenage me is still hopeful.
But that may be my mistake.

Every time this band releases a new album, I listen to the singles in hopes that they - at least - have something that's worth the listen. And every time I'm just more and more confused at the direction they head. I don't expect a Hybrid Theory/Meteora sound, but at least... enjoyable?

I'm depressed I can't un-listen this song.

Gore lands on my least-favorite album, I think. It has some solid tracks, but it feels very underwhelming. Some tracks don't feel strong at all and leave more to be desired.
Edit: I think that's what the band - and mainly Chino - meant when they were interviewed before the album was released. I remember Chino talking about how when they were writing a song, they decided to take a big left turn away from what they normally do. That might be why I don't like a lot of the tracks.

Also, if you guys haven't checked out the new TA website, it has detailed pressing info for everything they've released. It's pretty rad.

This list is so cool. Love that they have some detailed pictures for each press as well.

I didn't know that there are only 2 in circulation of the first tour 7 inch for Portland. I'm lucky enough to have two different cities for that record and now I need to go home and check to see if I have one of the Portland ones.
I'm surprised he isn't on here. I know he still uses Deadformat for his list, so I can only imagine he's in a vinyl community regularly. I'd be surprised if he isn't.

Hated it at first, but really digging it now. Feels more gritty, more similar to IWICSH and Colourmeinkindness. Not sure about getting it on vinyl but still really digging the new mix.
I agree with you. Definitely feels more familiar with their older albums. It has grown on me and I prefer it over the original now.
I'm also not sure about purchasing the vinyl record for this remix, but I'm curious how the rest of the songs sound.

Got my wife to switch over from iOS and bought her a Fossil Android Wear watch for Christmas. So far she's into it. She got me a Google Home, which isn't specifically Android based but it accompanies my devices well. Love how you can just say, "Hey Google, play [random show] Podcast," and it'll instantly play it. I'm going to replace the Bluetooth adapter on my stereo with a Chromecast Music soon, so I (or anyone) can play any song, album, or podcast on the stereo just play saying, "Hey Google, play [blank], in the music room."
That's good that she's into it. I remember you saying she was stuck to her IPhone like glue.
Do you have it hooked up to your WiFi or does it pair to an Android device?
I wasn't even aware they had a Chromecast Music, but that sounds pretty damn awesome. I remember trying it with Google Now and it did work, but sometimes it would open the app and not play anything. Haven't really tried it with Siri, so can't compare.

Any albums/EPs that are worth checking out?
Or something that's cheap that is also good is more what I meant.

Single "Bellwether":
I really liked Allomaternal, so will most likely pre-order.

The remixed version of Promise Everything sounds like a demo. Shout out to Sam Pura for getting it right in the first take
That's what I thought too. Sounds too rough for me compared to the original, but I like it.
Not sure why they decided to switch labels. RFC is great. :/
Edit: remix is actually really growing on me once I listened with headphones. Might like it more than the original. Not sure how I feel about the "Feeling like a child" part being changed and the ending of the track.

Nexus 5x here, and I love it. Is the pixel really that much better? It's damn expensive.
If the price of it was around the price of the 6P, I would've been all over it. But not happy they didn't add stereo speakers.
-
Anything new in the Android world?
I made the switch to iOS mainly because I would notice some lag issues with my N6P. It got me frustrated. Now I'm jailbroken and all I've wanted to do is root a damn Android phone.
Have been debating picking up a N5X, but I do miss the stereo speakers and 1440p display on the N6P. Still thinking about it.
Edit: Pixel looks good, but the price seems steep.

And I had just made a post about this too, haha.
I'm probably going to pick up that Mansions' Dig up the Dead acoustic album.

Didn't even know about this. I've been away too long. If anyone has a spare Florian Bertmer or Thomas Hooper, I'd appreciate the hookup.

Not sure why I didn't imagine these kinds of websites existing out there. Would normally just stick to TPB and KAT myself, but those always feel so sketch to me now.

I'll give them a shot! Ordered the Hybrids. I'm always on the lookout for some cheaper alternatives and it seems like these deliver. Having a wire isn't such a big deal. Not having to charge them is a huge pro for me as it's so annoying having to wait two hours for the ones I linked to be charged.
I've been looking into a portable amp, but I'm not sure where to even find a good one. I've searched Reddit a little bit, but didn't look too deep. But I would like one as I mainly listen to music on my phone nowadays. Also curious how it will pair with Tidal's HiFi streaming service.
also thank you for the links.
