still keeping my fingers crossed for amazon.it, have received neither a confirmation nor a cancellation so far.. anyone else??
No, but the date on Amazon UK is listed as being 27th, so I'm guessing amazon.it won't be dispatching at least until then either. I suspect they might have some stock, or be getting some, as they've hiked the price up, as they did with ( ) once they had stock of that.
-
Considering the price, I doubt this will get through...ordered one as well anyway...you never know.
I ordered the clear ( ) from Amazon.it when it was listed at €26.51(its now €59.45), and I received it no problem.

If I order from amazon, Ill get the Watertower version, which the only difference is 140grm?
Amazon sell both pressings:
Watertower: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00UM7SFZS/
Music On Vinyl: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00TAJ79BK/
As well as the difference in weight, there are some etchings near the label on the Music On Vinyl pressing (pictures posted earlier in this thread), and I believe the inserts are different too (4 page booklet for MOV and fold-open sheet for Watertower).

I'd really like the soundtrack on vinyl, but without the box/picturedisc/posters/book/DVD (seriously, its 2015, why is this not bluray?). Hopefully there's a standalone version too.
There is. http://www.amazon.fr/Virgin-Suicides-15ème-anniversaire-Vinyle/dp/B00004KD52/

I really can't tell - but since there is a bonus 7" and live vinyl album included, this could be gone in hours...IMO
The Warner boxet of Daft Punk's Alive, released in December, was also detailed as 'limited'. Its still available, now at a reduced price.
The limited boxet of Virgin Suicides, also a Warner release, is currently available for a similar price to the Daft Punk box set, so my hunch is that it'll be as 'limited' as that and there'll likely be enough of these to meet demand for a while.

No way!!!
Wonder if this'll go on Amazon. Any more details?
Its already on Amazon.

I know the OG is a 2LP (and crazy expensive!), but I doubt this would be a single.
Its listed on Amazon as a double.

Both this and TDK are now available direct from Amazon.com.

A repress of this is available for pre-order :

Inception is also being repressed and is available from pre-order on those sites too.

Thanks to someone on spintheblackestcircles for the info, it does indeed seem to be a genuine repress - its available for pre-order at :
http://www.elusivedisc.com/Inception-Soundtrack-LP-Clear-Vinyl/productinfo/WEALP49649/
Zimmer's Dark Knight is being repressed at the same time and is also available from pre-order on those sites.

Well here's another bump...
...new copies supposedly available on UK, US & Canadian Amazon sites from Marvelio & the Euro Amazon sites from Dodax, Zoreno, & Nagiry.
GIven its not available anywhere else and there's no official mention of a repress anywere, it seems inevitable its either a bootleg or a listing error. Nevertheless it seems worth placing an order on the slim chance a few have been found somewhere...

This is what I am saying. Several shops have been selling them for a while as limited, in shop only sales. Completely legit as far as I can tell as it's *not* RSD. But tapping into the whole vinyl is cool and as there is a buzz around RSD. And someone scrawled on them.
My suspicion is someone has seen them, got the wrong end of the stick and now it's ZOMG RSD SIGNED RELEASE.
Unless, there is a seperate release for RSD which is very similar to this. Which I kind of doubt.
Indeed. Here's another twitter post, from Rough Trade, who've been selling these in store since Monday.

I received an email from Amazon UK two weeks ago. No mention in the email of trying to find a copy, just that the delivery date was changed by their supplier. The release date for the MOV version seems to be different for each Amazon site, but in a nutshell the only places it seems to be available from at the moment are third party sellers (and do they even have it in stock?) or New On Vinyl.
Has anyone actually recieved a copy direct from any of the Amazon sites?
Amazon UK : 6th April
Amazon Germany : 10th April (Label also listed as 'At the Movies (Cargo Records)'
Amazon France : 24th March, only available from third party seller
Amazon Spain : No release date, only being sold by third party sellers
Amazon Italy : 17th March, only available from third party sellers
Amazon US : 24th March OOS, available form third party sellers
Amazon Canada : 24th March OOS, available from third party sellers
Other UK & European sites also have later release dates down for the MOV version:
Norman Records : 6th April
Banquet : 30th March
JPC (Germany) : 10th April
Ordered my copy but thankfully received mine last week, I wonder why the others are delayed...didn't MOV say this was an unlimited release?
Which retailer did you order from? -
Up for preorder on Amazon UK now: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Interstellar-Gatefold-sleeve-180-vinyl/dp/B00TAJ79BK/

Did you end up getting a copy of TDKR 2LP? It looks like it is sold out now unfortunately.
Its showing as available for me. I haven't attempted to complete a purchase, but I'm able to add it to my 'bag' & progress to the checkout & payment screen.

This is available once more at Piccadilly Records (UK). http://www.piccadillyrecords.com/prod/SeuJorge-TheLifeAquaticStudioSessions-Unknown-99990.html

Did these go up online early or something? i don't see them

Well the problem comes unintentionally from Mondo actually trying to help out, at least in my experience. They put only $5 value on the customs slip, and here most packages with very small values get opened because customs workers know that such a small value is very unlikely. Once they open it up, they'll see the original value on the invoice that Mondo puts in, and since $25 is over the 15 GBP limit in UK, you're looking at tax + "handling" fees.
Our limit is slightly higher (22 EUR), but still, importing anything into EU sucks, especially taking into account the extremely high shipping costs as well.
I've never experienced an issue before with them marking their items at a low value. However, it now seems likely that international customers will be charged import VAT on any Mondo orders that exceed the value of whatever their country's import threshold is - several recent posts here suggest that Mondo appear to now be declaring the full sales value of their items on the customs slips.

I'm sure amazon will be on it soon.
They already are (currently identical pricing to fnac).

You can only check out with 2 at a time, which is a holdover from our previous site. But if someone went in and bought 5 orders of 2... that's a different story. And one that we don't see right now in our order history, but something we obviously need to be more mindful of in the future especially with smaller run items like this.
If its technically possible, it'd be good to see you limiting your smaller run vinyl releases such as this one to one copy per customer, especially those releases that you know are going to be popular. Seems much fairer if more poeple can get a single copy than have people miss out completely while others grab two.

Still 14 copies left.
-
Try again maybe - still 24 left...

Still shows c.30 in stock on the product page though.
