  1. 2011 is going to be a big year for 6131 Records and we wanted to start it off right by offering you fine folks a subscription service for ALL of the releases that we are putting out this upcoming year.

    - Subscriptions will include an exclusive color of vinyl (for subscribers ONLY) for at least 12 releases throughout 2011.

    - 2 bonus mystery 7"s (they will be awesome, trust us) and a chance to win test pressings for each release.

    - Additionally the first 50 subscribers will get an exclusive 6131 Records t-shirt, the next 50 will get a limited 6131 slipmat.

    - Strictly limited to 200 and most limited color of vinyl with exclusive b-side labels.

    - Expect releases from Joyce Manor, Hardside, Swamp Thing, Rotting Out, Maker, and more.

Prices are (all in USD, includes shipping, + $5 paypal fees):

    $100 US. $125 Canada. $150 Europe.

We realize this is a lot of money up front but if you were to buy all of these releases individually, you would be paying MUCH more for them. Not to mention the most exclusive color for each release.

Ask for this as a Christmas present (or Hanukah), cash in some gift cards or sell your old crappy vinyl and you will be in!

We appreciate all of your support thus far, we are just getting started!

    Official press release:

Founded on beliefs that are in short supply within the current underground music scene, Massachusetts BANE has established themselves as one of the most influential and relevant bands in hardcore today. Since their inception, they've become one of the scene's hardest working bands touring the world over and releasing 3 full length's 1999's It All Comes Down To This, 2001's critically acclaimed Give Blood, and 2005's The Note.

Four years have passed since The Note was released, and the members of BANE schedules were looking busier then ever, finding the time to write a new full length seemed unrealistic. In June 2009, the band booked studio time with Jay Maas at Getaway Studios and decided to go in and record however many new tracks they had at the time. A week later they emerged with six new songs all of them named after American soap operas, all six coming straight from their hearts..

Freed of any obligations from their long time label Equal Vision, the new material will be released on various labels throughout the world all of which will have their own signature title and cover art for the release. Various photographers were contacted in the different locations around the world where the records would be released and a photo shoot at the exact minute on the same day took place, seven photographers took a picture of their city skyline at that minute, on that day. For some it was 7:58 in the morning for others 12:58 at night, but they all pulled it off and the photo they took would be the cover and the title of the release for each territory, Tokyo 7:58am, Dublin 11:58pm, Boston 6:58pm, Perth 7:58am and to be released by 6131 Records on December 8th - Los Angeles, 3:58 pm.

Finally, the Bad Seed / War Hungry splits are up for preorder!

There will be 3 different colors. The breakdown will be 100, 300, 600.

If you order 3 you will get all 3 colors, until the most limited is gone. It's first come first serve. Look for these to ship late September/early October.

    Artwork coming soon.

    Download code to be included.

    Backtrack 7" preorders coming soon

  6. This record is a split release between us and Collect Records (Geoff Rickly). Geoff recently wrote a short bio for the record. Check it out!

    www.myspace.com/toucheamore

Hailing from Los Angeles, Touche Amore set themselves against the glamour and greed of their hometown culture with "...To the Beat of a Dead Horse", the passionate debut LP/CD set for release in July through 6131/Collect Records.

In the last year, Touche Amore have become of vibrant part of the flourishing West Coast hardcore punk scene, successfully bridging gaps between subgenres. By playing their explosive and sincere music in every basement, VFW hall, club and space up and down the West coast, along side hardcore torchbearers Killing the Dream, Trash Talk and This is Hell as well as like-minded, discordant bands Ampere, Comadre and La Quiete, they have brought a feeling of togetherness and positivity to a scene they love. Unafraid to play their emotionally charged fury in front of uninitiated crowds, Touche Amore has even shared the stage with upbeat pop-punk bands such as Broadway Calls and folk-punk heroes Fake Problems making close friends along the way.

"...To the Beat of a Dead Horse" marks a real turning point in the life of the band. By focusing melodic and dissonant guitars on tracks like opener "And Now It's Happening In Mine", the band --made up of Tyson White, Clayton Stevens and Nick Steinhardt-- craft perfect backdrops for singer Jeremy Bolm's raw-throated stories of corrupt politicians("History Reshits Itself"), exhausted nights("Honest Sleep") and existential loneliness("Suckerfish"). Where TA's demo 7", on No Sleep Records, was full of promise, "...To the Beat of a Dead Horse," never feels fully realized: the guitars bend and weave but always maintain their drive, the rhythms are frequently off kilter but never off-time and the vocals are screamed at the edge of breaking up but they're always exciting, pleasing even. This record was completed not compromised.

The record features guest vocals by Thursday's Geoff Rickly and Modern Life Is War's Jeff Eaton. It was recorded by Alex Estrada at Earth City Studios and Mastered by Paul Miner(Suicide File, New Found Glory, Unbroken).

West Coast Hardcore powerhouse, 6131 Records(AlphaΩ, Swamp Thing, Bad Seed) has teamed up with Geoff Rickly's new vinyl-only Collect Records(United Nations) to release this record in a beautiful duel LP/CD package.

After a spot on this year's Sound and Fury festival, the band will be touring extensively in support of "...To the Beat of a Dead Horse," with dates along side friends La Dispute and Thursday among many others.
