Anyone else reading The Wicked and The Divine?
Saw this yesterday and passed - but I regret it now because it actually seems pretty good. I will probably go back and pick it up.
I'm rereading Umbrella Academy and it really is amazing. Also starting Deadly Class (which I've been loving).

Saw them on Tuesday night and had pretty much the same experience, right down to the phone thing. One of the greatest shows I've ever been to, incredible energy from both the crowd and the band... damn. Tried to see if I could swing seeing them again in NYC this weekend but no dice.
Wow that's awesome! yeah same here - I saw them live when they were touring for the suburbs (and of course they were great), but I feel like their tour for this album was just on a whole other level. I agree that their energy on stage has just been amazing lately, making the atmosphere of being in the audience much more enjoyable. They have come a long way. I'm sad that their tour is pretty much over because I would love to see them again - but I'm happy that they will be working on another album very soon and I'm really looking forward to what they do next.

Band is on their way up, definitely the best opener from that 1975 tour earlier this year, fucking Bad Suns are terrible.
I really enjoyed Bad Suns new album! I felt like both bands were really enjoyable to see live and fit perfectly on the 1975's tour. But I agree that Sir Sly has a better sound - I will probably order this once I hear the rest of the album.

I found a record for you. It'll save you a few steps for when you have kids. I can pick it up for cost + shipping for you. It's marked $21.99 :-)
This makes me extremely sad

Saw Arcade Fire a couple nights ago. They always put all of their energy into every show - it's amazing and so enjoyable to watch. I was caught off guard too when Win Butler took my cellphone from the audience and filmed. That was a nice touch to the evening and I'm happy I got a video of just how much I enjoyed myself, filmed by one of my alltime favourite lead vocalists. Dan Deacon was a great opener too - he really got everyone hyped up.

Almost finished Actors Anonymous by James Franco and it really made me dislike him. He should just stick to acting.

Why would they mark them down just because they are opened? Aren't they just saving you a step?
Every album that I see opened at UO has a very damaged sleeve, usually from being tossed around by customers I'm assuming. I don't think it's right to be selling a record at full price when the sleeve is damaged. I just like taking care of the albums I own, so why would I buy something damaged..

I agree - I thought Conventional Weapons was awesome. It sounded more like MCR than Danger Days did. When these got released it made me so excited for their next album and that much harder when they announced the breakup.

I think that's a bit extreme. My music taste has changed a lot over the years - I wouldn't say an adolescents music taste defines who they are. I loved mcr's earlier work - but I'm not intolerant to a change in artistic direction. I liked Danger Days because realistically they couldn't create another Black Parade or Bullets album because they weren't in that mental state or place anymore as a band. And it would become very boring maintaining the exact same sound or concept while their creativity is being ignored. Could they have done better? Probably. But Danger Days was still a solid effort considering they didn't really feel like doing another album.

I preordered the bundle. Really like the single and the free shipping was pretty nice.
-
I feel like the comic book series made me appreciate Danger Days a lot.

-----Virtual hug-------. I think you and I are the only ones to say this on the thread
I can't help but love Destroya - my favourite song on the album. And I loved the Conventional Weapons singles too. I think that a band can't stay the same for every album and even though they weren't the best releases, considering they set the bar high already, it was still really good! Danger Days is one of my most played records.

So psyched for SWS if you were a movie.., been really wanting this one for awhile !!

I've had no wifi all day (pretty much dying) and not only am I super excited to finally have my wifi back - BUT MCR REPRESSES TOO?!?!?!!? Screaming.

Is it bad that I kinda liked that first Foster the People LP Torches? It's not the greatest, but I thought it was a decent LP for what it is.
No, even though Pumped up Kicks was overplayed - every song on there was pretty catchy in my opinion.
-
I'm going to watch the movie tonight - knowing me I will probably cave and buy the UO copy right after.
-
I like The XX - XX the best personally. Coexist was good, but it had some hit and miss songs. On their first album it was solid from beginning to end.
