  1. Saw them on Tuesday night and had pretty much the same experience, right down to the phone thing. One of the greatest shows I've ever been to, incredible energy from both the crowd and the band... damn. Tried to see if I could swing seeing them again in NYC this weekend but no dice. :(

Wow that's awesome! :) yeah same here - I saw them live when they were touring for the suburbs (and of course they were great), but I feel like their tour for this album was just on a whole other level. I agree that their energy on stage has just been amazing lately, making the atmosphere of being in the audience much more enjoyable. They have come a long way. I'm sad that their tour is pretty much over because I would love to see them again - but I'm happy that they will be working on another album very soon and I'm really looking forward to what they do next.

  2. Band is on their way up, definitely the best opener from that 1975 tour earlier this year, fucking Bad Suns are terrible.

I really enjoyed Bad Suns new album! I felt like both bands were really enjoyable to see live and fit perfectly on the 1975's tour. But I agree that Sir Sly has a better sound - I will probably order this once I hear the rest of the album.

  3. Saw Arcade Fire a couple nights ago. They always put all of their energy into every show - it's amazing and so enjoyable to watch. I was caught off guard too when Win Butler took my cellphone from the audience and filmed. That was a nice touch to the evening and I'm happy I got a video of just how much I enjoyed myself, filmed by one of my alltime favourite lead vocalists. Dan Deacon was a great opener too - he really got everyone hyped up.

  4. Why would they mark them down just because they are opened? Aren't they just saving you a step?

Every album that I see opened at UO has a very damaged sleeve, usually from being tossed around by customers I'm assuming. I don't think it's right to be selling a record at full price when the sleeve is damaged. I just like taking care of the albums I own, so why would I buy something damaged..

  5. I think that's a bit extreme. My music taste has changed a lot over the years - I wouldn't say an adolescents music taste defines who they are. I loved mcr's earlier work - but I'm not intolerant to a change in artistic direction. I liked Danger Days because realistically they couldn't create another Black Parade or Bullets album because they weren't in that mental state or place anymore as a band. And it would become very boring maintaining the exact same sound or concept while their creativity is being ignored. Could they have done better? Probably. But Danger Days was still a solid effort considering they didn't really feel like doing another album.

  6. -----Virtual hug-------. I think you and I are the only ones to say this on the thread :D

I can't help but love Destroya - my favourite song on the album. And I loved the Conventional Weapons singles too. I think that a band can't stay the same for every album and even though they weren't the best releases, considering they set the bar high already, it was still really good! Danger Days is one of my most played records.
