  1. Sounds very plausible. Thanks for the replies.
  2. Hey all, Can anyone tell me what a sieve-fisted find is? Apart from the title of a Fugazi song. I'm expecting it to be something like a local US proverb or something, but I can't find anything about it on the internet. Thanks
  3. If he did, it would be quite a feat considering his daddy died earlier this year.
  4. If you consider O Pioneers!!! plural, it would have to be: O Pioneers!!!' music. So just the apostrophe. If you reason it's singular because it's a band name, it would be: O Pioneers!!!'s music. Because of the exclamation marks I would go with 's simply because it's easier to see/read. The exclamation marks don't change the rule of possession.
  5. That's pretty cool. Thanks for the quick reply!
  6. I was wondering whether the record "Maximum Rock n Roll" by NOFX listed in the store: http://stores.channeladvisor.com/vinylhome/Items/MYSTIC111-1R?&caSKU=MYSTIC111-1R&caTitle=NOFX%20%22Maximum%20Rock%20n%20Roll%22%20LP%20red%20vinyl Is in fact the real deal. I'm asking because the picture with the record doesn't show Maximum Rock n Roll, but "The Album" which has a complete different track listing. As seen here: http://www.nofxwiki.net/w/The_Album I already own "The Album", but "Maximum Rock n Roll" not yet. So I'm really curious. http://www.nofxwiki.net/w/Maximum_Rocknroll
  7. By the way, how cool is it that I went from 3 stars to 1 in the course of 5-6 replies in a U.S. topic thread...
  8. Can I have some of what you got? I'm just asking if he meant the whole of America, including all the banana republics, because that's a lot of land to troll.
  9. Ah Hulk Hogan... the very best the U.S. has to offer...
  10. Wait, do mean like the whole continent, South America, North America and Cananda? I thought this was just about the U.S.
  11. Somebody stole my bike as well, so I went and got a motorcycle.
  12. I just hope they're done licking your asses the way Tony used to do during Operation O.I.L. in Iraq.
  13. Gee, I didn't realise how popular the Netherlands was abroad... we have got our own special day in the U.S. even!
  14. How apropos the swastika on the armband of your avatar has suddenly become.
  15. Anus racer and Butt Knight have been long time favourites of mine. The first one is brilliant in Dutch as well: Kont Krosser Although a slight change in meaning, but the same area of the poopy zone. The Dutch: Zak Hooi. (literally: Bag of Hay) always works pretty good when I'm pissed off in traffic.
  16. The entire lyrics from My Mangy Hound by The Real McKenzies. I really like the mood of the whole album, but the lyrics are horrible at times.
  17. I just sent my transcriptions of The Montage and My Lightning to plyrics. I did my best, but there are quite a few spaces left open and some things that don't really make sense. No doubt I heard quite a few things wrong. He can be very hard to understand a lot of the time. If anyone notices any mistakes or anything, I'd appreciate if you'd let me know.
  18. Thanks for the suggestions and advice. I solved the problem because of the anti-skate advice although I don't have an anti-skate button. But after reading that I started paying real good attention to the arm and the needle and I suddenly noticed that the little arm/lever thingy that moves the arm up and down was keeping the arm a bit above the holder you put the arm into when not playing music, so I figured he might as well be holding the arm to far above the record. So I tightened the screw of the arm/lever thingy a bit and now: problem solved! Also thanks on the weight setting, Chiefwahoo.
  19. Also, second question while I'm at it, as I've said, it's a new turntable and I've been experimenting with the weight on the back of the arm a bit. The weight goes from 0 to 4, what would you guys say is a good measure to put it on? I have it on 2,5 now mostly. But I have no idea what's effect really is.
  20. Heya, This is my first post here, and I hope I'm doing it in the right forum. I've got a weird thing with my turntable that started yesterday and maybe one of you has a suggestion (apart from getting a new needle which I will of course just to be sure). Anyway: All of a sudden my needle doesn't seem to follow the rim grooves leading to the first song, sometimes it just stays in the same spot not picking up on the grooves at all, and when it does reach the song it starts skipping in a weird way that doesn't sound like skipping when there's a scratch. This only happens with the first song. Put it down anywhere else on the vinyl and no problem. The records this occurs to seems to be selective, but it happens to new and old records. Oh and my turntable is about 4 months old yet, so the needle should still be good I figure.
