I'm sure there's a scientific explanation (probably even an obvious one), I just don't know it, but how are we sure all life needs water and that we aren't an anomaly here by needing it?

As far as I understand, we don't. I could be way off base here, but I believe it's just that there would need to be some liquid for life to evolve, and water is thought to be pretty abundant.

My understanding is that we use the "Earth" model because it's would have the highest possibility of having life "as we know it"

I for one thought the whole zombie arm had some sort of significance. I just can't put my finger on it. Here's what I got so far:

When they were getting ready to bury the 3 bodies, they handled Sophia's body with care... using blankets and carefully resting her body when they picked her up and put her down.

With the zombies in the back of the trunk, once the arm fell off Andrea went ahead and picked it up and threw it on the back of the truck like a piece of meat, treating it like an object... unlike with Sophia.

They addressed that in the episode. Bury the ones you love, burn the others.

Had its good spots, had its bad spots. The whole Lori car wreck bit seems stunningly unneeded. Rick shooting those dudes was legit though. They are really bringing in the Rick's transformation into a hard/worried leader way earlier than in the books.

While being mostly for comedy purposes, I would still argue that the news segments on The Daily Show are far more honest and critical in terms of actual facts and questions asked, compared to many normal news shows.

Birdwell is officially the funniest dude on the boards.

The lineup is usually awesome for this but the giant venues make me not want to go.

I really enjoyed the first season but I found myself getting angry about the first episode of season 2. The places he gets to go to and the things he gets to do are even more amazing than the first season. I would kill to get half the opportunities that this dudes gets. Having said that, it's still pretty damn funny.
