Same here, really warped and distorted. why are there so many bad quality new pressings!

I can also confirm that the black vinyl has a lot of surface noise . There are too many new records like this. I love collecting and listening to vinyl but I find myself second guessing when I pay 30-40 bucks on a new record and it has defects.

I bought the deluxe box set without checking the description carefully. It has a picture of 3 lp I just assumed it was the album, but just a few 7 inches. Anybody interested in buying it from me? Same price I paid 55 cdn plus shipping. It's still sealed. I should have also read earlier posts in this thread as that was pointed out earlier lol.

Damn eh maybe I should try there. It just costs so much more coming from the UK for me.

Thanks for the reply. I have a new rega rp3. I tried it on my other TT as well as a 2000 dollar music hall TT at my local record store. Same result on all. Disappointing because lp2 sounds perfect, just an issue on lp 1 especially on the lost song part 2 and Ariel . Maybe I'll settle with the cd/dvd-a version.

I'm so excited! This is my fav oceansize record and perhaps in my top 10 ever. I'm so glad it is now being released on vinyl. I pre ordered a copy through amazon....I just hope I ended up getting it

Hi everyone, New to the forum. I'm happy I came across it! Does anyone have the new Anathema album, distant satellites on vinyl? I've tried 3 copies on my turntable and the 1st lp has a terrible distortion, especially on the 2nd songs on each side. Not sure if anyone has the same experience but my local record store tried it with the same result. I emailed the label and they said they gave sold hundreds with no reports. Anybody have this issue?
