Man, that DEP deck is sexy. Someone pick that up!
I would if I knew how to skate
-
My original pressing of Back in Black sounds amazing. By far the best sounding album I have.
-
Here's a link to the list. Just don't want to worry about updating 2 lists, so I'll keep it consolidated. Pretty flexible on pricing. Also have a like new 3DSXL NES Edition with box

Shocker
Everyone starts somewhere. Just want to make sure I know what to expect.

This was the comment that put me over the edge from helpful to pile on the n00b
I haven't been to a concert before.
-
I'm quite impressed how long you guys actually gave honest answers and good suggestions.
Was there something inherently wrong with what I asked? I couldn't find info and am excited. Sorry for being a tightass
-
I'll do that. Thanks!
-
id say unless they were doing some sort of vip thing where people could watch a sound check that their crew probably handles that.
About how early might a buss arrive? An hour early? Two?
-
No one made this joke? Ya know, 'cause they all sound the same?
Can we please keep this on topic? Trying to get information
-
You won't generally see a band prior to the show. Buses look like big 'ol tour busses.
Do they do a sound check? It only se a ts 1000, it's a small place. I'd be able to get pretty close
-
What about getting there early? Where do they generally come in?
-
Don't yell after the set, you'll look like a goober. Best way to do it is the way we all did it when we were younger: hang out around the merch table for awhile, it may take minutes or it may take hours. I remember waiting outside by the band's bus when I was younger.
Agreed with everyone else, good luck getting Graffin
Do the busses have a specific look or are they just like a normal bus?
-
Regardless you won't be able to get everyone to sign it there since Hetson is no longer in the band.
I just really wanted it signed by Graffin the most. If I'm up at the front (GA only) could I yell at the end of the set? Jokes aside, when's the best to catch them?
-
You definitely won't find Graffin, he bails instantly. You might get lucky and run into some of the other guys though. True north is great, but if you haven't, you should give No Control, Against the Grain and Generator another listen.
Always? I was hoping to get everyone to sign it
-
True North is your favourite BR album? Have you heard Suffer? Or No Control?
they're good, I don't know, I just really liked True North.
Have fun, I'll hopefully see them a few times this summer
-
I'm going to their concert in Tempe AZ April 10th. It's a really small venue and general admission only. I'm hoping to get my True North LP (jacket) signed. It's my favorite album of theirs and I'd just love to get it signed. Are they cool about that? Nice guys? I know some famous people are weird about signing things and if they have a reputation for this I don't want to piss them off or anything.
Any other concert advice? I'll be getting there early, already know that.

If you read the stickied thread at the top, it has plenty of recommendations on gear in several price ranges.
I listen to a variety of sub genres of metal. From Classic metal to grind core. Find my trade list on deadformat (same user name) if you're intrigued!
I'd prefer vintage gear. More for the money and I've never used New gear so no idea if I like it.
-
I listen to a lot of metal. Ive never used EQ. You don't need it with proper equipment.
Do you have any recommendations?
What kinds of metal? My Children of Bodom/In Flames/Slipknot/Anything with a screamy vocal sounds really bad. (please keep the smartass remarks to a minimum. I know a lot of people don't like that style )
-
The Marantz is ok, but everything needs an upgrade. Get rid of the EQ for starters. Don't replace it, just don't use one.
I listen to some metal music that needs to be adjusted because otherwise the vocals are lost in the mix and it really pisses me off.

I have a relatively nice hifi setup, but something is making it just sound kind of "meh". Here are my parts
Receiver: Marantz 2225
Speakers: Technics A30
EQ: Panasonic SH-253
Turntable: Pioneer PL-7
Cartridge/Needle: Shure M44G
What here is my "meh" part that needs upgrading? What should I upgrade it to (vintage)?
Thanks a lot guys! Looking forward to some better audio

Anyone end up with an extra?
