  1. Wow, never heard of anything such as that happening before. Will be interesting to hear what the distributors have to say.
  2. Wow, there are so many video game vinyl releases, did anyone manage to get the GTA V release?
  3. Oh... still, they might not be referring to Megaman.
  4. Two anime soundtrack bootlegs get released on vinyl and no one bats an eye. Super Mario Bros Soundtrack gets a bootleg vinyl release and no one bats an eye, even had two reprints. They even got released through many legit online record stores like Turntable Lab.
  5. It's 666 for Castlevania and 1000 for NES if I'm correct.
  6. Is that vinyl pictured at the top? Nice covers!
  7. Is it true Nintendo can only distribute 'free' releases for their music, why is that?
  8. I think it's going to reach the goal, it may not convince Nintendo to release any sort of music on vinyl but it sure is giving the Mother/Earthbound franchise more exposure. $40 is expensive for a re-release but fans are willing to pay.

  10. Didn't think this topic could escalate so much. I fully support Sean and the company behind the Mother release, they've done good. Just a shame that they are dividing the fans. Hopefully they can drop the hostility and come to an agreement, or at least support each-others releases.
  11. If the Mother soundtrack is really bugging you Sean you should just ignore it, so what if they are supporting the official release, the musicians went with Sony for the CD so they had to go with them for the vinyl. Everyone who gets your email loves video game music. Maybe people want the arrangement soundtrack as well as the ripped NES audio, what's the problem? Have the original musicians received money from your rips?
  12. 'The Kickstarter will be launched on Tuesday at 2PM eastern'
  13. Anyone with a brain knows that Sean is bullshitting, I don't understand who he thinks he's trying to win over. Official or not, I'll enjoy the music
  14. All I was stating was that annefrankzappa (Sean) tried to press the composer's music from the game, he was contacted about the official release asking to take it off his unofficial one, next thing you know he openly mocked the composer's soundtrack as if his work is dirt. Sean said: 'I am trying to do something that treats the music AND the fans of the music with respect.' So he mocks the company, the composers and thus the fans of the music and he expects us to believe he's doing all of this out of respect? Sean said that he has hired two licensing lawyers, conveniently confirmed ShiptoShore never got the license, and they also secured licensing rights for two his upcoming releases. He says this while he has released two bootleg releases and has another two bootlegs coming up. According to the company behind the the release, the one Sean is stating is fraud : 'This is an officially licensed release. No bootlegging involved.' 'It took us over a year to secure the license for this album! But yes, we did.' 'Due to licensing restrictions we were not allowed to modify the CD artwork.'
  15. You haven't done your research. The soundtrack contains music straight from the video game in the track 'The World of Mother'. You may say it's 'weird' (like a lot of video game music), but anyone complaining that it is a bad soundtrack ought to look at these 5 star reviews, it's fantastic: http://www.amazon.co.jp/MOTHER-St-Pauls-Cathedral-Choir/dp/B000197KZI
