his girlfriend is much cooler than him.
This is true, because we nerd-out about journalism stuff. Sorry, Justin!
EDIT: The more I think about it, you're both pretty awesome.

This is one of the albums I've been anticipating all year. I can't wait for this to go up.
-
Ska and West Coast G-funk.
Edit: These are just genres, but still.

Do a double LP at 45rpm!

Ugh. These terrible plays on words need to stop. Seriously.
-
This album is great. If you don't own it, you should remedy that.
-
I have an original of this that I scored a few years back. If you want it, it's yours. We could meet up and exchange the record/cash if you so desire.

I could not back this any harder. One of the best investigative pieces I've ever read.
seriously, I've tried looking for other books about columbine but this is just the best out there. everything just sucks in comparison
For real. The amount of research he did is insane. The details he was able to get from survivors made reading this incredibly difficult in spots. The way he flipped back and forth between the details of the shooting and the rest of the story worked so well. It allowed for the conflict to build and then he'd effortlessly release. It was the written equivalent of a post-rock song.

I had an idea earlier for a song about two people in a long-term relationship who work too hard to notice that they don't even love each other anymore. It's told from the perspective of their landlord who showed them their first apartment together, collected their rent, fixed problems with the apartment, and watched the relationship deteriorate.
If this song doesn't talk about how terrible the apartment's water pressure is then I call bullshit. Oh, it should probably go into a super heavy breakdown after that. You know, for emphasis.

That Pg. 99 record is super tempting...

also, this is a book not a movie but it is extremely well written and researched

the mutiny is a great bar if you have no sense of smell and are caught up on all your immunization shots.
additionally if you drink, pay the extra money for the bottled beer rather than the mini pitchers, I know waaay too many people who've gotten food poisoning from their beer, because they either don't wash the pitchers that people drink out of and/or they never clean the beer lines...place is a dump.
When we played there it wasn't that bad. They had cleaned up a lot of the garbage that used to just kind of be sitting everywhere. It was far from "nice," but it made a bit of a step forward. That said, I wouldn't eat or drink anything from there.

WHOA! This is awesome.

I bought a few records from this guy privately. They were in excellent condition and packed super well. Hook it up!

His older stuff is good, but he always kind of paled in comparison to the other people in Doomtree. This is the first record of his where I think he stands on his own and really establishes an identity. Lazerbeak's work on this definitely gave him the beats that he needed to push him forward.
-
For sure. I plan to order it within the next few weeks. It's by and far the best album he's made. You can see it in his live show. The crowd goes nuts when he plays shit off this album, especially "Burn It Down."
-
This album is fantastic. I've yet to pull the trigger, but I'm hoping they'll be around a few more weeks.

I snagged one of these from Reckless on RSD. I'm not super into the bands, but I wanted it since I've been going to Reckless for years. If anyone who really likes these bands wants it send me a message. (Not trying to screw anybody, just trying to help).

I fucking love Rad.

Sell me that copy of the Crayon Club! PLEASE!
-
I'm interested in the Frontier releases. How can I acquire them?
-
Bummed I missed that Casket Lottery!

P+P seems to exist solely to fuck with young bands.
"Hey, people like you! We'll put out your record! And by 'put out your record' we mean 'Make sure they are delayed, you'll never have any to sell on tour and frustrate both you and your fans to the point where they won't even mailorder the record because we are so bad at this.' Deal?"
-
Make me too! It'll be super boring, but fuck it!
