Hey I'm mad late to the party (don't frequent VC much) but is there anyway to get the green/grey smash to the US without paying too much? Legitimately hate all the other variants and would like to get a non-black copy if I could.

I found out about this LITERALLY the day after my birthday code stopped working. Don't want to drop $30 on a poor quality record but I still want this. Anyway there'll be a Labor Day code to bring this down a bit?

Listening to my clear now. I low key think this is a better record than Devil and God. Chorus of Empire could have been on TDAG though, reminds me of an Archers esque track.

Also, as a side question, did anyone else have a problem with the clear press of Come Now Sleep? I ordered one off discogs, and the 1st LP had a steady "thud", kind of like a heartbeat while it played. I returned it to the seller, and the seller told me they opened up another one, and the same problem occurred. Did this person just get a bad batch? Or was there something wrong with the original plates they pressed it with? I loved the look of the clear vinyl, but the thud on the first LP was really annoying. I got refunded, so i'll most definitely snag one of the new pressings tomorrow. 

mine didn't thud, but it sounded just kinda fuzzy in general.

tempted to swap my clear out for a black but idk. Other colors don't fit it at all imo

I have the swirl ish one from EU. Not really digging it aside from a few tracks but still unsure on selling it. Played once, kept the sleeve in shrink. What were you thinking of paying for it, in case I sell?

Gotta say I agree with all of this. As disappointed as I was with a few aspects of the CSN press, I'm super glad to have what may very well be my favorite album of all time on vinyl. And having another one of my top 15 favorites with Hell or High Water coming out is very important. I just really hope it's not on white and that some of those other details get sorted out!

So glad to hear about Gates! Ties together the whole album so incredibly well.

Anyway, my biggest complaint was the holes in the center (don't know the technical term, sorry) were too small to fit the record on two of my players and my roommates'. I did eventually get around to playing it, and it came up sounding somewhat lackluster, but that may because I had to use my less-than-stellar player, so if you think the TPs sound good, then I'll be very content! The lack of an insert or much else than "thanks" section for CNS was a little disappointing as well, but I don't know how the HoHW artwork could be expanded because there wasn't much with the CD.

I sent an email to Solid State about some of my qualms, so this isn't totally just me whining. Also shipping it in shrink wrap/sleeve would be good, my jacket came a little rugged, which doesn't really bother me, but that's really unusual, especially for the high price tag.

Realllllllllly hope I don't miss that Hell Or High Water press, that album is a must-have. I just hope they handle the pressing better, and throw Gates and Aerials on there too.
