I've got an OG Aenima. Definitely never on color. Mine is pretty beat up, looks-wise, but sounds fine unless you're a total perfectionist.
You wanna sell it to me cheap?
-
Anyone else?
-
what is the diff. between those two moon & antartica LPs?
also, do you post on VLV? i believe I saw those pics on there
I think one is on Matador and the other is on Epic.
-
Also, I have a "Life of Arctic Sounds" on white vinyl, but with the black and red labels from on the red version instead of the blue and silver labels on the normal white version. Is this worth anything and would anyone be interested?

i have everything. every color, every press. will sell for decent prices.

Reckless has it for 14.99 for the gatefold rough trade version:
A good price. I'm tempted but I already have a later rough trade pressing.
-
i really hope this band breaks up before they kill what sliver of good name they have left
Agreed. That Satellite Skin 7" was such a dissapointment. It's like they don't even have anymore ideas they have to dig in to album rejects. Maybe they don't need to quit as much as leave Epic.

Went to a record show in CT last weekend & for $175 I pulled in:
Smashing Pumpkins - Mellon Collie & the Infinite Sadness #'d copy
Operation Ivy - Energy - 1st press Laytonville address
Jawbreaker - Busy - green cover
Dead Kennedys - Halloween 12"
A Perfect Circle - Mer De Noms 2xlp picture discs
Sunset Rubdown - Random Spirit Lover
Butthole Surfers - Rembrandt Pussyhorse - Touch & Go
It was a good day.
Unfortunately, Sunset Rubdown brings down the cumulative value of the haul.
The Sunset Rubdown was only $5 for a double lp. I didn't like the album initially but decided to give it another shot since it was so cheap. I'm still on the fence about it.

No cd in mine either. I think the prices are kinda steep for a 15 year old album. Can't wait for the vinyl "bubble" to burst so the major record companies stop inflating prices on this stuff.
-
yea its a 100 minimum, and yes the distribute out at cheap prices to other distros or what have you.
back in my old hometown a few people got together and started a distro but basically they all pitched in some cash and got what they wanted.
Ya this is what I did a few years ago and got some awesome stuff for cheap.

Just got mine #654 w/ a blue stamp. I ordered about 24 hours after the 7" announcement went up on the Fat site if anyone is wondering.
-
Mail just came, damn west coast east coast travel. No record for me this weekend!
Did you pay for Media Mail or Priority Mail? I am in CT & paid Priority so I hope I get this today.
-
Yeah, I'm waiting for the repress on this one unless I stumble upon one for a moderate price.
Apparently they were selling it for $15 on their recent tour. I also heard that the band said the Epic stuff was never meant to go out of print, so it's a possibility that this and Moon & Antarctica may get a repress sometime in the future.
Lastly, Interstate 8 and Fruit That Ate Itself are going to be released/re-released on vinyl, according to statement made by the singer at a show on this years tour.
-
Good luck, people seem to be crazy about modest mouse vinyl, judging by the insane prices on ebay lately. I wished I picked this up when it came out.
-
Made a trip to Mass for rsd, and they sold out of everything I wanted immediately, but for 5 bucks I got:
Red Hot Chili Peppers - 1st album
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Uplift Mofo Party Plan
New Order - Ceremony 12"

Any other MA/CT shows?
There were allot of them in the spring and I had good luck at all of them finding good/rare stuff cheap.
