I want to lube up my Thorens TD 165 but I'm not sure which oil to use. I was told to use Mobil 1 but I don't know if there is a certain weight to use. Thanks, Phil

Just got all of this put together. I still need to upgrade my speakers and receiver but I'm loving what I have so far. Its a Thorens TD 165 with Dynamat treatment underneath and a few other mods. I added a Rega RB202 tonearm and Ortofon 2M Red cartridge. I'm also using a Little Bear Preamp, some Dayton Speakers and an older Sony receiver. I had an LP120 before this and it was good but I'm liking the sound of this one better.

I'd still like a Wolfman copy also if someone can grab one.

Sorry, yeah, I'm not sure why I was thinking that. I just needed a power cord. It sounds great. There is a hum if I crank it all the way up but it's not really noticeable.

I just e-mailed Transmisson to see if i can cancel my order......$7 cheaper on the other site.

Haha, sorry, I probably have no clue what I'm talking about. I just figured maybe they were still in the process of putting the 5000 out.

What are the chances that all 5000 haven't been pressed yet?

Just called about the phone order I placed a couple days ago for the clear version. He said they were still looking for a vendor that had one. The way he was talking, it sounded like more of the clear are going to be pressed.

So i just called a local barnes and noble and was able to order a clear vinyl. Who knows if i will actually get it, but they did let me order it.

Sure, I have a budget of about $400. From what I have read, it seems the 1200 is the better table. A new debut carbon seems easier to deal with though. What do you think about the two? Nice profile pic by the way. Samhain is one of my favorite bands.
