Alright, dude. Not sure how to make it more clear that I was trying to be nice, but have fun. Welcome to the boards. 🙄

Well, maybe we are not on the same page. I'm looking for constructive criticism. Comparing it to others doesn't help. You or Apple asked me to post my website link then said 'im trying to sell something'

I'm simply looking for people who have ideas to make my design more efficient to them. period. or those who engage normal.

    peace

It seems like you did exactly what I said not to do and took this as a personal attack. That's not what it was meant to be.

There are plenty of people out there who make classic "record store style" flip forward browsing. Do you think no one else has come here to try to sell the exact same sort of storage solutions? I'm a little concerned that you think IKEA is the only other place to get any sort of record storage.

I was just wondering what differentiates you from other folks who make similar furniture, and I hoped you had some sort of novel idea to talk about, or that the materials you used were special in some way that might make people say, "Oh, this guy has a great idea, maybe I'll buy one of his items instead of Joe down the street who is doing the same thing."

You've mostly interacted with the multiple threads you've made to direct people to your website and drum up business and you made that...interesting post in best/worst distros which is fine, but as has already been said, folks around here really don't take too kindly to people jumping in and immediately starting to self-promote.

    Aaaaanyway, stay cool homie.

I'm not sure how i can make it more clear on how my pieces are unique than attaching a picture.

I thought the 'equipment page' was to discuss equipment...

Self promote?  If, i posted my collection, turntable, etc.  would that not be self promoting.

If you don't like it and obviously have nothing 'constructive to say...

    BYE

by my count the same TWO people wanna not 'stay cool'

Don't do that, man. Your icon is a logo, and you've shared your website where you sell these. That's your goal, right? That's fine and all and I don't want to sound excluding, because I sincerely DO like what you build - but this is a community of enthusiasts and not really an entrepreneur's playground. Self advertising is frowned upon. If you must peddle, could you at least keep it to one thread? Please do not make a thread every time you build something.

As Randy Savage said, people would be more inclined to take notice or chat it up if you've been around a while or contributed anything towards vinyl discussion, but you're brand new, so. Do you like records? If so, what kind?

    Hey man,

My icon is my logo for my shop, that sells vinyl furniture, that was inspired by my love of music and vinyl and is how I wake up and go to sleep.

I have a website where i sell these. This is a forum for discussions. This is posted to 'turntables and other equipment'. This is equipment for Vinyl.

I don't hide who I am, obviously. I thought this was the most appropriate place to discuss this type of product. Just like vinyl, turntable, speakers, etc would be.

As you know I've been active the last week, in conversations, reply's and posts. How can I be active and not be Me?

'Hawk', 'Peddle', 'Entrepreneurs playground', 'Advertising'???  thats kinda rude

I'm here to find like minded people to discuss everything related to music and vinyl.

like i just PO Dessert Sessions 11&12.

When it arrives, im gonna open it, put it on my player, put the cover up top, in a stand just like this, jam out and stare at the cover.

  4. Its unique because it has classic record store style flip forward browsing, shows off your cover art, is made to your specifications. That includes the player platform, the finish(which combinations are endless), depth which determines LP storage amount and the height.

I'm not really sure how that is remotely similar to anything on the market. Ikea?

Most people could make anything less for what they can buy it. But, time my friend. I'm not sure most people are carpenters with experience in commercial laminates??

Its my second weekend here. been interactive. just wanted to share this to the community. thought vinyl collectors might like something designed for vinyl collectors.  I have not in any way tried to 'hawk' anything.

I posted for opinions. Got yours. Thanks

Thought this looked mighty familiar. I saw your previous posts when it linked to a website. I can offer my two cents if you want. I’ve always wanted storage like a record store, that is, flippable racks at standing level. So naturally I like some of your designs more than others. I realize it’s all customizable to the buyer’s needs or wants, and that what’s on the site are just finished designs for other previous customers, probably.

My biggest issue is the price. I’m just a regular dude with a regular job, and although I spend thousands on records in a year, it is difficult to justify dropping 700, 800 bucks on ONE piece of furniture that holds 200 records, when I have a few thousand. I would sooner buy a few box sets, or substantially upgrade my system for that money. Especially when I can reliably buy Kallax anytime for a fraction of the price.

I enjoy looking through - the furniture looks high quality and the designs really well thought out most of the time, so it’s fun to fantasize about owning them. I’ll just always have a better use for that kind of money. I’m probably not your target market though. If records were a passing fancy for me and I had only a couple hundred records, or enough to just fill one of your record shop style stands, I’d more strongly consider it, because I wouldn’t need anything more. But my collection grows constantly.

    Hey Brother,

    Thanks for your feed back.

Just a regular dude here. Trying to work from home.

I have lots of models. I got pieces in that price range that hold 600 records. Really depends on the model. I've added a lot of new models. Although, packaging is 1/3 of all my costs. My first year, I had a few damaged in shipping. Not one in the past four years, knock knock. I take as much care into packaging as I do construction and its pricey. With that said, most of my models are discounted by 50%, for pick up. That should give you a clear picture of the labor and cost of shipping to ensure a safe delivery.

But for Large collectors, we are probably not a solution to store a Large collection. But up to 1000, we can make some killer stuff.

My favorite new models are our record player stands and audio racks.

I think everybody can get down with them. they all hold about 400 LP's on average. In flip forward browsing. Think about these for a current rotation and audio stands. Then you got your player at the perfect height(custom) and your browsing vinyl at a convenient height too. And you get it all custom designed to your specifications and components.

    sold you yet?

    hahaha

    Thanks again brother.

Let me know what you think about the new stuff

    Some constructive criticism here:

    1) Where do people buy or order your furniture? This is a rather vague post and jab at "monopolies," but you leave no indication of a website to view your work or order anything.

    2) What exactly can you custom build? Be specific here: "Hey! I can build storage cubes for your 2,000 LPs" or "Need a custom 7-inch box? I can do those too!" Also, maybe touch on what materials you use and why.

    3) What's the pricing?

    4) Where are you based out of?* Do you ship and how much would it cost someone (based on the piece)?

    5) Take. Better. Photographs. Holy hell. Ditch the fucking Instagram filters and use better (or more) lighting. Get the full piece in the photo and avoid distracting shit in the background.

*I see the Genesee neon light, so I can only guess you are based in Western NY.

    Hey,

I did not want my post to look like an ad. That's why i didn't plaster with links.

I custom build anything from a 7'' holder to an entire music room. Mainly, I build flip forward style vinyl storage stands, record player stands with the same vinyl storage and audio racks that also include vinyl storage.  Large storage stands hold up to 600 LP's.

I use cabinet grade ply and finish it with commercial laminates, stain interiors. I also do solid veneered units.

Price varies on size and finish. Each piece is made to order to your specifications on finishes.

We are in Knoxville TN.  Prices for pick up are discounted by 50%.

This is a clients picture, hard to dictate that.

Although, I'm trying to work on my photo skills... its a learning curve

I've been on the lookout for a copy but according to Discogs, only 1000 were pressed and none have popped up for sale on there. They weren't cheap to begin with ($75 if I'm not mistaken) and it seems like anyone who bought one is keeping it.

My wife is a huge fan, me too. I did PO it. I got a deluxe version that was a little more $$ with some swag. Its a quality press. Sounds Amazing. We wont be parting with it ;)

  8. Hi,

Just wanted to post about the furniture I make. I've been making these for 5 years now and have not had any issues until lately. Over the past few months Amazon, Target, Walmart etc.. have been upping their Monopolies online, mainly Amazon.  Now, I can not find my stuff online.  Figured I would come to the source and show ya'll my stuff. I make flip forward style browsing vinyl storage stands, record player stands and audio racks.  Thanks DK

  9. Best-Subpop

Two Lps showed up a month late and wrapped in shrink wrap into a cone. Seriously

Contacted Subpop, no questions asked, resent them ASAP and were really cool.

    Worst-Bandcamp

Well, bandcamp will just refer you to the artist. Good way of taking themselves outta the loop.

The Myrrors used to be one of my favorites until my order never arrived. They could have cared less.

Gave me the run around for months. It was so Bad i cant even list the amount of BS they fed me.

    Done with them forever.
