Did anybody ever pick up a copy of Living Outside from Spartan?  Curious how it sounds because it's hard for me to spend $20 on a single LP if it doesn't really sound that good.  Maybe I'll just wait for Spartan to run one of their discount codes but I'd hate to miss out on this variant...so cool.

I got it and it sounds good to me. Only spun it once, I'm actually looking to sell mine, I have this (odd) goal to only own records without profanity, and forgot this one has a few zingers. Let me know if you're interested.

  2. Hey all, I got an RSD edition from a shop online and received a copy with a big blemish on the jacket. The shipping box was undamaged so it seems this happened before it was shipped to me. I know it's silly, but I'm a little OCD with stuff like that and I know it will bug me. The shop will refund me if I ship it back, but I thought I'd check if anyone here is interested before I send it back to them. The shrink wrap is still unbroken. Alternatively if anyone knows how to get a spare jacket (if they exist) let me know. Sometimes labels have extras but Ace-Fu is not functioning, so I'm not sure who is officially behind the repress. Thx

  3. Moral dilemma time!

So, lets say you have ordered a copy of this record and paid for it to be shipped to a US address but then decided to pay an extra amount for international shipping to receive it in a timely fashion and spin it on your turntable over the ocean.

Regardless of the recalculation, the record is still shipped to the initial US address. You receive an apology for the error and a full refund, including money for the record itself (that is, not only for the shipping that was erroneous). The record is technically still in your possession, as it is situated at a relative's place but you won't be able to listen to it for a good while.

I kind of know what one would have to do but not quite what one would want to do in this situation...

Always a certain satisfaction that comes with doing the right thing.

  4. I've done some digging but didn't find a lot of specific help, so hope everyone doesn't mind a new thread. I'm pretty new to collecting and haven't ventured out on RSD yet. I'm about an hour from the closest shop and I'm really only after Blue Screen Life. I'm not in love with the RSD concept, but I'm wondering if it's worth a shot. Any advice, specifically regarding the Phoenix AZ area? What are the odds, when should I show up, etc. I know there are mixed feelings about RSD and I'd rather not debate that here, but instead just get an idea of what to expect and how to approach it if you are trying to get a specific album.
