  1. Even as a buyer PayPal sucks. Most times I will pay, and assume shipping takes roughly 2-4 weeks. After a month, I will email the seller, we'll go back and forth and they say problem solved. I wait another 2 weeks for a new one to arrive, and I'm already over the 45 day window.

45 days is not enough time. I now have to get in the habit of opening a claim every time at 40-45 days if it hasn't arrived yet, which is a pain in the ass.

Luckily I use Visa for everything online, and they have refunded me the 2-3 times I've been ripped off and it was past the PayPal claim window. Twice they asked for emails, backup, etc. The last time they just refunded me $50 on my next statement without any documentation. It was great.

Whoa dude - how often have you been ripped off that you need "to get into the habit of filing a paypal claim" after 40 days?! I have never once in my history of buying records via the interwebz needed to file a paypal claim...and it's not like I'm some n00b with 4 LPs in their collection!

  2. I have shipped plenty of records internationally. As trades on here, as distro trades, as sales through the website, and as ebay transactions, and I have never had a single issue.

I agree with daegor - if you keep your receipts, take pictures when necessary and have valid proof that you've actually sent the package (even first class international has the ability to locate a package after a certain amount of time has lapsed, so long as you still have the barcode from the form that you fill out at the PO), no one ever gets butt hurt about the amount of time that it takes to arrive.

I must be doubly lucky, because most of the international packages that I send out also seem to arrive very very quickly.

  3. I have two remaining copies left in the label's webstore of the now OOP 3xLP pressing of "The Four Trees/You Are The Conductor" on white wax.

I know how expensive Caspian records get once they're on ebay and such, so I thought I would throw you guys a bone. Keeping them priced at normal retail because I'm awesome like that.

Any orders placed ship within 24 hours!

  4. I think I post this every time someone mentions wanting an expedit but doesn't want to drive or pay the shipping costs but:

My nearest IKEA is about 3 hours away, so I've managed to buy 2 different sized expedits via craigslist and have scored them for cheaper than retail through IKEA without any shipping. A little patience pays off huge with that site.

I'm not saying that it's the only option for storage, but if you want one, you can get one on the cheap.

    From Broken Circles:

We’re pleased to announce that we will be bring Hopesfall’s debut album, The Frailty Of Words, to vinyl for the first time ever in February. Originally released in 1999, the LP features brand new artwork from Chandler Owen, who has been responsible for all their previous artwork. The record will be limited to 500 copies on 3 colors:

    100 – White

    200 – Clear Orange

    200 – Blue/White A Side/B Side

Preorders will launch in January sometime. Stay tuned for more details and preorder information.

I am insanely stoked on this release! Broken Circles continuing to bestow upon us incredible records that should've been pressed over a decade ago.
