probably lost amidst your extensive collection of Blink 182 reissues?
-
in honor of MLK day, how about the editor of Alternative Press refrains from making any shitty race-related jokes for the day?
-
it might seem like nitpicking, but:
when you have 4 bands on a 7 inch, each presumably contributing one song, it's a comp-not a split.

Wah Wah Wah...
buy my shitty RX BANDITS test presses so I can press even worse STARTING LINE records.
WAH WAH WAH
Drive Thru Records is sooooo hard to deal with and the world needs 1000s of "collector pack-ed" nu-emo bullshit.
WAH WAH WAH
no one buys my "Harvard" records.

Ah, sorry. No idea why I thought that. Must be the meth.
I thought the same thing, oddly enough.
That's because username Scott has been Virgil's biggest apologist through all of his shenanigans.

Yeah, I'm still waiting on a Suicide Machines 2xLP that was backordered many, many months ago. Whatever, that's nothing compared to $200. Sorry dude, hope everything gets worked out.
Yeah, I'm "waiting" on a Nothington LP I ordered more than a year ago, that was backordered all the time. Again, a drip in the bucket compared to Captain $200, but it's really about the principle/not having this dude sell a copy on Limited Pressing when I'm owed one. I continued to send emails that get ignored.

just got my records from "thisisahijack" today.
i would recommend doing business with him.

Very into it. Well done.

I can't listen right now. Is the this pop-punk as in copyrights, screeching weasel, etc. or pop-punk as in new found glory, fireworks, ...
The whole album sounds like a mix of Sum 41, Four Year Strong, even som harder Set Your Goalish parts will be found in this album
Wow, that sounds absolutely terrible.
Thanks for saving me the Myspace trip!

I'd review it, just didn't get a copy.
Funnily enough, I got three copies, none of which I've bothered to listen to.
you do realize you sound like a huge douchebag, right?
again, put away the hateboner (or at least rub one out which listening to 3oh3 or something) and move on.

Doesn't AP do features on bands that are part of huge media companies (and run advertising from those same companies), like, all the time? I don't understand the point you're trying to make.
This is the same guy who has repeatedly attacked/mocked/insulted/[whatever verb you want to use] upstart labels for licensing titles from other labels, indie and major alike. It's some serious pot/kettle shit.
I should add that I don't give a fuck what label licenses what title from what other label—I'm just in favor of good records being pressed on vinyl, no matter who does them.
I never post on here, but I felt a need to respond here. I have no personal stake in any of this (and know none of the particulars involved here), but man, you have such a hateboner for Magic Bullet. Cool it, Charlie. Calling someone out on their ties to major labels when that's the kinda shit that keeps AP's lights on is silly. Who are you to criticize a dude for putting out his friend's band, even if they happen to be massive?
-
That's what happens when you assume.
Yes, I should have realized it was a bait and switch, not as stated.
i'm the furthest thing from a VC apologist (some of the shit they do sure does drive me insane), but man you are a fucking idiot.
like, for serious. take your aggro bullshit elsewhere and sit on a traffic cone or something

the main complaint i've heard voiced about pirates press is that, because they press in the czech republic where environmental regulations are more lax, the environmental toll of printing 500 copies of your band or whatever are far greater than if you produced them domestically.
that's not even taking into consideration the transport of 500 records from the czech republic to the states.

it seems weird that the comp starts with 3 tim barry songs. i love the guy (and a lot of the bands on this comp-nice call on that DBT song, for example), but it just makes for a weird comp. shuffle those songs into the mix, or something.

i don't post on here much, but i feel the need to chime in and say that "signals in transmission" is a fantastic album.
any possibility of them playing more shows? (other than just the pittsburgh show)

i think I got a Burning Brides 2xlp test press?
it's really tough to read the handwriting, and i'm waiting for a new needle to come so i can't even play it right now.
bummer.

honestly, this guy is doing you a favor by not sending you fireworks lps.

what's on the ergs side of the 7"? previously unreleased stuff?

I ordered three whatevers (I'm a big fan of surprises, what can I say) and I got the following:
Dead Girls Ruin Everything CD (ex-ultimate fakebook, so i'm intrigued)
Scream Hello-Infinite Son CD
Little Compass CD
Black on Black-Black Flag Comp CD
1 Drag the River Coaster
and two promo cd singles and a few stickers
I know these things are a crapshoot, but I was definitely disappointed

Is there any bullshit Christian shit this board doesn't defend/love? Is this all your born-again parents let you listen to?
Reading all of the posts about this band and others of their ilk is so confusing to me.
