  4. with how whiny you are, i'm really glad you didn't end up getting what you ordered.
  5. I'm definitely a teacher. You are definitely this guy: I win. PS: Nice sandals.
  6. Scott is such a tool. Don't you have a feature on Attack! Attack! to be editing, before the last embers of your dying industry burn out? I wish I could say this thread has convinced me to not buy any of the records you put out. Luckily, though, the records you release convince me not to buy any of the records you put out.
  7. I'm glad to see that some people are interested! This really makes a great gift! Please order and support a great cause!
  8. (I know this isn't vinyl related, but it is a benefit, so please leave it in this forum mods! Thank you!) A friend of mine has been doing a hell of a job documenting the philly hardcore scene the past few years. He's got hundreds of full sets (that he recorded himself) free to stream and download on his site, http://www.hate5six.com. As a means of helping raise funds for the charitable organization "One Hundred for Haiti", he decided to release a professionally duplicated/printed benefit DVD of some of his favorite sets. The just-released "The HateFiveSix Diaries" (terrible title, I know) clocks in at almost four hours and featuring a who's who of today's (and yesterday's) hardcore punk scene, including Converge, Kid Dynamite, Suicide File, Iron Chic, and Unbroken. 100% of all proceeds will go to "One Hundred for Haiti", so please support this project. 9. The fact that this "Enjoy the Ride" talks about his "products" pretty much tells you everything you need to know about his "label".
  10. I love how the dude who started a record label to reissue shitty Christian nu-emo/hardcore records is criticizing another dude for doing the same stupid thing. I guess there are aren't enough "gems" from 5 years ago that need the vinyl treatment to go around? and
  11. agreed. The guy's talented but I think a lot of people act like they like it to seem cultured. (see also: kanye west). I saw him live (won tickets) and I was surprised at how un-clever and typically misogynistic his lyrics were. people like rap to "seem cultured"? i guess if they were being honest with themselves, they'd only be listening to caucasian christian emotional rock albums, right?
  12. Yay! More Christian rock represses! Fuck yeah Can't wait to buy every variant!
  13. all of the bullshit reissues of tooth and nail records, along with the entire discography of "enjoy the ride/mightier than sword" records.
  14. all of the bullshit reissues of tooth and nail records, along with the entire discography of "enjoy the ride/mightier than sword" records.
  15. A very excellent post by Ryan here. But I just wanted to comment that someone actually spent money on a record (a 78, no less) that has historic and significant musical value, regardless of the fact that it holds some monetary value. This record, along with Elvis Presley's recording of "That's All Right" in 1954 are the two most most significant songs in the argument for when Rock and Roll came into existence. If you're not familiar with the story, it's actually really interesting. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rocket_88 Back to this thread: almightyseancore has a right to sell his shit for what he wants. Everyone else, including jrodan, doesn't have to buy it. According to VC guidelines posted by Juan: http://www.vinylcollective.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=sale&action=display&thread=36775: Sale spoiling Please do not march into a thread and state that you can get an item for $X on eBay or some other online store. Or that you're selling the same item for less. If you think their price may be too high, don't be rude about it. If others feel the same way, then it won't sell. This is a hobby where each person gives an item a different monetary worth. While it's fine to look out for others, people should also do research into the item they are buying. also, if a buyer offers a price that you consider to be too low a price for an item, please politely decline it, or give them a ball park figure you're thinking around. why do you have to hold this dude's hand? if he wasn't such a fucking goober, the trolls would've gone away and he could've sold his "well loved" mars volta record to some sucker on here in peace. instead he whined like a little girl. and this is the thread that resulted.
  16. STOP THE PRESSES! No one's allowed to reissue shitty christian rock without first getting "Broken Circles' Records" permission! I love the idea of two dudes who both run such worthless labels ("Broken Circles" and "Enjoy the Ride") fighting over releasing a record. Hopefully it'd bankrupt whoever "won" the rights.
  17. you suck immeasurably. then again, you only buy records to one day make money off of them, so you ought to know that already. choke on a cumsicle.
  18. i'm so glad you didn't get that record, you entitled, whiny little twat. i hope record labels go the route of underground communique and start refusing your business. then you'll have to find another form of "variants" to collect. asshat.
  19. SURPRISE! One mental midget is sticking up for another!
  20. Or his Friend is Brandon Jones and the IVM website, not any of the bands on the comp itslef..... Then that makes it even worse.
  21. i like how you went from: ]Posted by chutterhanban on Jul 9, 2011, 12:08pm okay, so first off, i'm not gonna act like i know the first thing about ska or any ska band. that being said, i heard about this "ska lives" comp on a site i frequent, saw a Ska is Dead 7" thread up high on the VCMB, and thought i'd share it, assuming there are some ska-heads here. http://www.indievisionmusic.com/2011/06/29/ska-lives-vol-2/ the only band on it that i really know outside of the few veterans on there is Blood and Water. they're pretty solid. to stealth marketing is shitty. so is your friends' shitty christian ska band. choke on a dick.
  22. That's the stupidest shit ever. Robbing people to satisfy your addiction isn't jail-worthy? Really? What if someone dies in the process? You must be as whacked out of your mind as dude from coheed and cambria is.
  23. Such a terrible fucking band. I will never understand this board's fascination with shitty christian emo/hardcore and mallpunk. And whoever said, "Mest was one of the pivotal pop-punk bands that gave the genre a good name in the early 2000's. Vinyl worthy... for sure." probably should've been late-term abortioned.
  24. Dude-don't pretend to get the joke. You(r post) are the joke.
