  1. Cave In - Beyond Hypothermia

I've said it for years; the fact you own this still makes me insanely jealous.

As for the topic at hand...

Beastie Boys - Paul's Boutique (2x12 180gram) - it's the 20th anniversary edition, but seeing as how it's my favorite album of all time I'm damn glad to own it.

Black Sabbath - Volume 4 - my favorite record by my favorite band. and it's an original copy in pretty good condition.

Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon - an original copy in insanely good condition.

Blacklisted - Heavier Than Heaven, Lonelier Than God (Sound and Fury pressing.)

and a 1st pressing of Isis "Celestial." It was my #2 holy grail record (behind an OG copy of Jane Doe...which is still on my want list) for a long time. Was insanely stoked when I scored it off eBay one day for under $30

  2. Dude do you live in Morgantown??

Will be seeing this tour in Baltimore on 5.20!! Will also be picking this up along with the Converge/Dropdead split at the show!

I plan on picking this up at that Morgantown show.

I'll spend way too much money depending on the merch available.

I may paypal you some money and have you pick me some stuff up since I'm getting screwed out of going.

Was supposed to see these guys on 5/27 w/ Converge and Burning Love. Not going to be able to go now because my schedule got screwed at work.

    Damnit

Live about 3 hours south of Morgantown down in Charleston.

  3. shouldn't reviews of records talk about the music instead of telling me about pressing numbers? Or is this all the TSPV site does?

Were not a review site. We pay for 99.5% of the records we post.

If labels want to send us records, we'll review them.

As far as pressing #s go, I usually forget to post them and have to go back and post them later. I only care about them cause the readers care.

Thanks, Nick...that's sums it up a little better than I had.

As far as pressing numbers go; I personally put them in my write ups because, like Nick said, the readers care to some extent. Seeing as how we're generally writing up/looking at the whole package (and not just the music contained on the records) pressing numbers are a part of that 'package' for better or worse.

Also, want to mention that the inspiration for me originally launching the blog (when it was just me, before nick and juan came onboard) comes from here; http://doug-wewillburyyou.blogspot.com/

  4. shouldn't reviews of records talk about the music instead of telling me about pressing numbers? Or is this all the TSPV site does?

I leave the music reviews to Juan's work for the 1st Five and occasionally Juan or myself will post a music review on on the TSPV tumblr.

  5. HHR/BCD don't release pressing numbers (generally speaking) in an effort to keep secondary market/eBay prices down. or at least that's how I understand it.

Of course that just means that everything ends up being BIN'd for ridiculous prices because everyone just assumes THEIR color is the RAREST color

(I know, Juan, 'don't like it don't buy it')

  6. Just put in a second order for a grey copy for a friend. I hope they don't cancel one or both of my orders. I only ordered a white copy in my first order.

    taken straight from EVERY hydra head vinyl release page that has multiple color options;

You may purchase up to one copy of each color. Anyone caught ordering more than one copy of any color will have their order canceled immediately.

    so you're fine
