  1. Good call on "Boo Human."

    Also,

    Slowdive "Souvlaki"

    Codeine (they're all sad)

Ester Drang "Infinite Keys" (although there's a few non-mopey tune, maybe two.

Low "The Curtain Hits The Cast"

Smog "The Doctor Came At Dawn"

Starmarket "Four Hours Light" (if only for the song Midnight Caller. Fuck it's a sad song. It gives me chills. Duncan Sheik's "I don't believe in Ghosts" is much the same).

    Black Heart Procession "Three"

  2. If that was in Rehoboth Beach I ran the record store right across the street. Also I hated that place cause the two gay guys who bought that franchise were total assholes (probably the only gay dudes I'd met who I didn't like.)

Wings to go is the shit!!! I love that place, my favorite flavor is buffalo garlic. there is a wings to go where I live (dover, de), but there are a few of them throughout delaware now.

I grew up in Dover. And yeah, there was one in that little shopping center on the highway. I lived there until 94, then just lived at the beach in 95 with my girlfriend.

and I prefer flats. my friends all think I'm crazy, but it works out great for me because they leave all the flats

  3. The best wings I have EVER had came from a place in Delaware called Wings To Go.

It was indeed in Rehoboth Beach and I visited that record store many times. This was back in like 1995 though, so we may be talking WAY different periods. I don't remember it being gay dudes, but I lived on, I think, Baltimore, next door to that really famous gay bar, so it's a possibility. A very strong one. That's the gayest part of the gayest town I ever lived in.

  4. The best wings I have EVER had came from a place in Delaware called Wings To Go. It is insane how much better they are than any other wings I've ever had. And I'm a pretty worldly guy. And I eat wings everywhere I go because... well because I'm sort of a pig.

And I agree on the ranch thing. It's such a midwestern white trash dipping option. You may as well get a McRib and dip that if you're going with ranch.

  5. Here's our two brand new skateboards with art by the amazing Bobby Brown. Bobby has been doing skateboard graphics for a couple decades now for some of the biggest companies around. I just happen to have grown up with the dude and got him to do some graphics for my shop, System Skateboarding. They come in 7.75, 8, 8.25 and 8.5 inches.

If you want one let me know. They are $35 with grip and are 100% American made, pressed three at a time (unlike big companies that press about 50 at once).

I'll also sell these complete with our shop wheels (made by Podium, who make wheels and stuff for a number of huge skate companies). PM me if you're interested. It's a pretty good deal.

  6. Sounds like a fun store to run as well as shop. Here's to selling tons of stuff and becoming a fixture of the community over the next few years. Do you have a turntable in there?

No, but that's my plan. My wife didn't think I'd like having it in there, but when it's slow I could rip stuff, etc. Might be nice. I think she thinks I'd just fuck with records and ignore my duties, which is silly.

  7. im probably sounding more and more like an asshole in here.. but now i find myself browsing beach cruisers. are they good for anything more than a casual bike ride?

Just think of all the vinyl you can tote in your Chrome bag. Chix will be like "ZOMGAWD DAT GUY IZ SOOOOO HAWT."

Shooting for some hate (-1) now. Personally I have a fixie because my car is far too expensive in leave in a campus parking lot weeks on end.

On a serious note, Beach Cruisers are not good for anything other than casual strolls......unless you plan on being a Milk/Paper Boy from the Post-Depression era.

I'd like to point out that my skate shop, System Skateboarding, is the only Chrome dealer between Boulder and Denver. We carry their bags and five varieties of Chrome shoes (which are awesome shoes btw).
