Thank you chiefwahoo, I think you're exactly right whereas there's no other logical explanation.

What was even more strange beyond being a white label without no promo verbiage; was,  the label didn't have the two thick horizontal lines near the top and bottom of the center hole?

I understand James frustration where some inquiries are just asking you guys to do the work for them in lieu of doing they're own research; however, I can assure you that was not the case with this --------- I spent 3 exhausting days researching this on the WEB and hit 4 different guides with no conclusion, thus why I decided to ask real pro's like yourself whereas I'm a novice at this discipline.

As a member of several car forums I always went out of my way to help my fellow members, which is what you did for me and I'm very grateful !! 

Discogs was the first place I checked -----------  it was listed on a blue label and on a white DJ Copy label, but not on a white non DJ label?

I like the idea of grouping some of the nominal valued albums.

I'm kind of leaning towards EBay whereas I recently had some old car parts hanging about and finally figured how to use their service, it's hard to teach an old dog new tricks !!

In fact a few minutes ago I listed a Michael Jackson box set on EBay:  History, Past, Present & Future which I had still factory sealed.   I'll give that a try to see how that works??

Again is there any merit to pricing a record based on the Goldmine Guide --------- simply taking the listing and cutting it in half or whatever to offer a realistic value?  --- Every time I do WEB research I find prices all over the map and I get totally confused !!

Hi Guys,

I'm new to this forum and need your help!

I have a vast record album collection of late 50's,  60's, and 70's Rock & Roll which approximately 95% of the covers are in perfect or near perfect condition which was always a priority for me,  many of them are still factory sealed and a good number of them would be considered high end collectables such as:  The Beatles Yesterday And Today "Butchers Cover",  We Are The Chantels, The Teddy Bears Sing, ETC, ETC, ETC.

I'm getting up there in age and heath issues are existing, so sadly it's time to pass them on before they get forgotten or tossed in the trash due to ignorance --  OUCH !!! 

Here are my questions:

1.  Is there a simple way to assign a fair individual value without doing time consuming and sometimes confusing research such as simply looking them up in the Goldmine Guide and selling them for 1/2 of the listing?

2.  I'm sure this has been asked many times on this forum,  is E-bay an effective way to sell them?

I realize I could easily have a record dealer buy the entire collection in one quick swoop; but the thoughts of selling them for 10 cents on a dollar (if that)  would compromise the integrity my hard work  !!
