  1. Already posted this in the Terrible Traders Thread, but figured I'd post it here as well just in case.

Has anyone had dealings with timwt?

I paid him for his entire No Sleep Sub on July 28. He responded to a few emails but was pretty slow at getting back to me. He said he was going to ship the record out "this week" a while back. When I requested a DC# the following week he said he couldn't get to the post office because his work schedule. He also said he had too much to drink Friday night so he missed the post office on Saturday. I haven't been able to get a response since the 9th.

What should I do? Everything was great until he got my money. Now he's becoming increasingly hard to get a hold of.

    Thanks for your help!

I can vouch for his work schedule being insane. He also works no where near a post office, so it would be tough for him to get to a post office if it's not on a Saturday. I know that he's a super solid person when it comes to trading/selling records, you shouldn't have to worry!

  2. Attention posters to this thread: Pictures or you didn't have them!

Septic Death - Nightmare Takes a Nap box set of test pressings. This was an edition of 30, however mine is a one of a kind custom made one just for me by Pushead himself with extra contents, and numbered with my initials on the back! I damn near shit in my pants from the excitement when I got this from him many years ago.

This is one of those unattainable records/sets for me. I've got a handful of things painted by Pushead that he gave to me, but not one of those... jealous!

  3. Yeah, man. I was bidding on three and they went up to at least 100 or so dollars. I was hoping with the demand they would repress it and low and behold they have. So Fucking stoked

That's nuts! Still, it's awesome that people are getting stoked on them, they've been going at it for a long time! If you haven't picked up that split with Whitehorse or the singles collection CD, you definitely should.

  4. it's weird when I see peoples' big buys be records that came out in the last five years. Records (in general) depreciate in value. It's cheaper to wait it out on most new high dollar records. There are obviously a lot of records that go up a lot over the years, but almost every record goes down in value.

I spent over a hundred on Minor Threat "In My Eyes", but I've sold a lot of records for over $100 so I don't feel bad about it. Plus it's a classic, not some flavor of the week.

I'm with you on that. So bizarre.

I've had some classic HC records come and go through my collection that I've dropped $100 on. I think the most was $150 for a sealed copy of Youth Of Today "Break Down The Walls" on Wishing Well. Pretty decent for a record that was 24 years old and hadn't been played ever. Worth every cent.
