Looks like I picked a good time to abandon console gaming.  I just built a gaming PC last April and I freaking love it.  Although if I had to choose between the new xbox and ps I would easily go for the PS4.

Have yet to watch the Red Wedding or the finale. Had to wait to the girlfriend got back in town... tonight should be the night. Next march, i know. At the rate of production Bran is going to have a beard soon enough and there will probably have be multiple Rickons, ala Lassie, except without all the dying. This show is expensive to produce; nevertheless, it might behoove them to shoot multiple seasons in one shot. They are only 10 episode seasons and it might be cheaper in the long run, especially given the huge cast and all those contracts.

 

I heard there is talk of filming the novellas (e.g., Hedge Knight). Scratch than and do a spinoff solely of Davos.

 

I was thinking about that the other day.  These "kids" won't be kids for too much longer and given how much this show costs to produce I don't see why they wouldn't consider getting creative with it.  Especially if they're able to map out how the show is going to presented.  I guess that'll be up to the producers to figure that one out.

This last episode was insane. Excited to see what the finale brings. Think Im gonna start reading the books in between now and next season.

 

You shall not regret it!  Not only do the books have a greater amount of detail but you get to see the story from the various character's point of view.  For example, the red wedding is told from Catelyn's POV.  Knowing what she's thinking the entire time takes that scene to a whole new level.

Hopesfall 'satellite years', the EP prior was pretty good but 'Satellite Years' is the only full length I can enjoy whilst listening.

 

Ah yes.  I forgot about this one.  Satellite Years totally blew me away when it was released.  Hell, it still does.  I was so very disappointed with everything that was released after that.  I know they were trying to do something different but for me it just didn't work.

My GF was literally in awe the whole night after watching this.....

 

I better see the dragon chick naked for at least 2 minutes next episode to redeem my faith in this series lol

 

Also new favorite character is Fabio from the Second Suns

 

They changed his looks quite a bit from the way they were described in the books.  Although I think the way they're doing it will work better with who they have playing Daenerys.  Could you imagine her falling for this guy?

So which album did you like?  I'm curious since they're all over the map so to speak.

 

As for me:

 

Saves The Day - Through Being Cool.  This is the only album of theirs I can listen to front to back and enjoy the whole thing.  Can't Slow Down is just painful to listen to (e.g. LIFETIME) and Stay What You Are and beyond just didn't really do much of anything for me.

 

Mars Volta - Deloused is still a solid go to album for me.  Anything after that... meh.
