  1. Heisel found his way over to VLV to wish me hello. Thought it was time to revive this thread:

Is it over the line to wish death upon your twin daughters yet? Because that's where I'm at with you. I legitimately hope your daughters die in your arms someday, and you have to watch it happen and think about how much of a shithead you've been to random people over the years for not fitting into your sad definition of what "cool" or "punk" is or whatever and how you probably have this sort of life-long misery coming to you.

But in all seriousness: I hope your children die.

  2. after being so attached to Invisible Children for the past 8 years or so i will not lie over the past couple of days with all the backlash coming around i did have to take a step back and ask myself "what have i been supporting". most of you know that i (robbed.the.bank RECORDS) put together a benefit record, have had a couple of screen printed posters made. so i have been looking at all the criticism and talking with some people. i personally stand where i have been, in full support of the invisible children. im not saying that everyone should feel the way that i do, it is just a decision that i have come with. i will say that before you start to become involved with an organization it is good to really look into it. i think people that are just now becoming aware of the events in africa shouldn't just jump in and say 'we support IC', they should do research. i dont know if any of what i am saying makes any sense (i still havent had any coffee yet this morning) but i hope you get the idea.

    What about now?

  3. Pretty sure that Freewill was Kerry of CFD...anyway boxes of this LP seem to pop up now and again for some reason

It was actually a guy named Paul Kane, who also had a store in Denver called Double Entendre. He also released the "Unheard Music" book of Chrissy Piper photographs.

Kerry had a label as well. He put out the first Mineral 7", but I'm not sure if he ever did anything else.

  4. I realize this is the board that fetishizes Hot Topic, but stay away from the mall jewelers. Unless you are boring.

I went into a nice shop on jeweler's row in Philly and sat down with the guy to design what I wanted. Like a couple others, no diamonds for us. Mrs. Mean wanted a sapphire, and I went with a classic looking platinum band with one sapphire.

  5. What was the best hardcore album to come out when you were 13 or 14? I know there is a off chance that i may be wrong, but figured i'd ask to see if my answer was the same as yours. you know for shits n giggles.

Either 7Seconds - "Walk Together Rock Together" or Rites of Spring - s/t.

This was a somewhat sparse period for hardcore overall, but there were a few gems in there.
