This one time at Academy, I found a 4xLP set of John Cage's works - when I discovered it, I very excitedly blurted my find to Mellie who was a few feet away. A very academic looking older gentleman who was going through a stack two feet away looked over really quickly as if he'd been struck with whiplash and his face within the next ten seconds ran the gamut from surprise to jealousy that I'd gotten to it first. I also found They Were Wrong, So We Drowned by Liars for eight bucks on that trip. The clerk went through my stack and let me have some freebies out of it including the Better Off Dead soundtrack. Another time, that clerk let me have a Hives record and some Man or Astro Man records I'd picked out for free because I bought up an armload of sealed Crypt Records comps. Nothing but good experiences with Academy.

Indeed it was. I know the place sucks but it happens to be one of the few places around town that has stand up comedy. There were plenty of metal head Posehn fans there though so it wasn't all soccer moms. I just don't understand why they'd pay $20 for his show when they could have gone to see the new Twilight.

yeah, the reissue is on it's way soon. og copies of that album go for big money on ebay. your best bet is to just wait it out. the reissues of the lucero stuff have been really swanky.

I've been debating putting my collection up on ebay and trying to get FU to link it on their blog or something.... with the reserve price set at the price of two tickets to the bruise cruise. I think I'd let my collection go without complaints to hit that shit up.

Books get really fucked up by cigarette smoke as well. I bought a relatively pricey first edition from someone in Ireland and was pissed when it showed up with yellow pages.... it legitimately stank up my room for a while.
