Three years, 250 shows, six european tours, a two-months US one and a signing on Deathwish Inc later, the three-piece from Laval has gained a strong following, becoming one of the most intense and impressive live acts around these days. Intense and angry dark hardcore/crust band from Laval (France), with members of Birds In Row and As We Draw. Formed last summer, we're just back from our first european tour, and Amaury Sauvé (producer/sound engineer for Birds In Row, Comity, As We Draw) recorded our first EP in one take on last january. It is called "Rigorisme", lyrics are in french, 9 minutes length so you're not supposed to get bored, and it is available on CD (handmade packaging) HERE. Named after the most inhuman battle in the First World War, VERDUN (Montpellier - France) are one of those bands that are hard to label, merging the lines between sludge/doom and slowed-down dark hardcore. Heavy and dry riffing, neck-breaking groove, incantatory vocals and a strong psychedelic feel, that's what you can expect from the half-hour of their debut EP "The Cosmic Escape Of Admiral Masuka".
