Sorry but I can't imagine anyone thinking this is better than the new AM cd. I know there are complaints about Butch Vig's production but seriously there is not one song on the Gaslight Anthem cd anywhere as good as White Crosses, I Was A Teenage Anarchist, or some of the others. And don't get me started on Fallon's voice and lyrics.

Saw them open up for Lucero in Brooklyn two weeks ago and was really looking forward to seeing them based on what I have heard from friends. I have friends who saw them at SXSW and loved them and some who were not impressed. I have to say I am in the latter category. Thought the guy who did most of the vocals had a poor voice and the songs just seemed to drag on. Really a shame as I was hoping I would like them.

Given that Against Me is not performing in NYC, I am really thinking about taking the Long Island Railroad to the Crazy Donkey to go see them. Anyone been out there and know if the railroad is near the venue? I am also curious if anyone has info on the venue itself? Sightlines, attitude of staff, etc.
