you guys see how 3 major developers now are making a single use code for online play to keep people who buy used games from getting all the features without paying another $10-15? hate the idea, i don't see it holding up if fans were to file a class action suit.

I don't see how it wouldn't hold up. You really think a court is going to rule against developers and publishers in this when they don't make a single cent from used game sales? They have to recoup their costs somehow.

I definitely have bought used games in the past, but usually only older games that you can't find new anymore.

I'm really curious to see how places like Gamestop who make almost all of their money off used game sales handle this. They typically sell used new releases for only $5 less than a brand new copy, so obviously they will have to lower that price to make up for the $10 difference. I wonder if it will just lead to the sale of MORE used games, since there are bound to be people who couldn't care less about playing online and would rather get a $15 discount buying used.

could lead to that. i don't see how they can get away with it though, when you purchase something, in my opinion you should be able to do whatever you want with it. if you buy a car or something used, you don't have to pay a kickback to the car company to make the radio work. and i don't think these developers are hurting for money, since millions of people pay $60 each year for minor roster updates and slightly tweaked gameplay.

Its seriously time for the Angels to make a big move for some front line pitching. I know its still early in the season but they have needed some front line pitching for years. Weaver has been great and every other starter is fucking awful this year.

The Angels hoard all these prospects for so damn long and wont trade any of them and then miss out on trades for players that are already proven in the bigs cause they dont want to let their prized prospect go. Then in 2 years no one will even give a shit about that prospect and they are left with nothing. I really wish they wouldnt have extended Tony Reagin's contract.

/frustrated rant

Good rant for sure though, there have been a lot of people the Sox have held on to forever. Craig Hansen was one, though the finally got him out of town, but I never saw the draw in him. They have kept Clay Buchholz too long, regardless of his no hitter or not., he could be used in a chip somewhere i always thought, there was this other guy a few years ago cla meredith, who was on the Padres last check, that the sox also kept around..its what teams do, and it gets irritating when there is a NEED for a team, and can be filled with a prospect who may or may not ever get it done or live up to the hype.

craig hansen has a degenerative nerve disorder with his pitching shoulder that could be career ending. could be a lot of his problems he's had over the years.

Also, just out of curiosity, what's with all these clothing lines having their name in/on every design? I've noticed it a lot lately, with brands like Affliction or Ed Hardy and a bunch of others, and I don't really get it. Isn't a cool design enough? I understand that a designer needs to get his or her name out there, I just don't know why the name has to be such an integral part of every piece.

Affliction is trying to cut into TapouT's demo, who also is a huge offender in that way along with being horrifically overpriced. i like MMA a lot, but pretty much if you see someone in a TapouT or Affliction shirt, it's like instant tooldar.
