  1. i know i uttered the evil words "500 COPIES ON BLACK" but this is some pretty sweet shit! also, tons of juicy distro updates and new tunes at HTTP://KARMICSWAMP.ORG !
  2. thanks to everybody for all the orders so far! everybody that gets their order in by tomorrow morning will have their stuff shipped tomorrow! can't beat that
  3. oh, duh, check out some tunes at http://soundcloud.com/karmicswamp/sets/karmic-swamp-new-releases !!!
  4. Big ol' bunch of news from the KARMIC SWAMP! ( http://www.karmicswamp.org ) The Globsters - Rock and Roll Misery EP is out now, along with The Elsinores - You're the One EP, two very different and very tasty rock and roll records I can't recommend enough! The repress of The Men - Think 7" is available now too, for those who missed out on the pressing that quickly disappeared last year. You can also find all manner of new and freshly restocked savory jams in the new DISTRO update - ragers like the VIDEO and B-LINES LPs and new stuff I picked up out on the road, including the SHOPPERS/PANZRAM split 7", WHITE GUILT 7", MERCILESS GAME 8", SEA OF SHIT 7", CROSS 2XCS and tons more! So check em out at http://www.karmicswamp.org/p/distro.html#main! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------- GLOBSTERS is the sound of one punk from Hazard, Kentucky hitting the writhing, mutant masses head-on with his own manic vision of rock and roll. This record is like the nightmare that stays stuck in your head long after you've woken up - you may say "I Am Not Afraid of Freddy Krueger," but Globsters is a different story! From the raw punk blasts of "I Don't Wanna Be Mentally Ill" to the demented crooning on "Roll You Up and Smoke You," this record proves that seven inches of punk can still be wild, unexplored territory. So kick back with your favorite Japanese wrestling bootleg, play this record loud, and enjoy the "Rock and Roll Misery!" *WARNING : GLOBSTERS - Rock and Roll Misery E.P. rates a 1.0 on the Muta scale.* Tracklist: 1. I Don't Wanna Be Mentally Ill 2. Roll You Up and Smoke You 3. Deny the Belief 4. Freddy Krueger 5. Ultimate Beefcake 6. Rock and Roll Misery Co-released with SPHC Records. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------- Hailing from the Appalachian-Midwest border town of Lexington, Kentucky, THE ELSINORES are a new group that have been spreading their homemade variety of power pop/garage punk jams across the South for the past couple of years, releasing and touring on a couple of killer demo tapes that were really a breath of fresh air from the harsh nihilism that has pervaded punk's recent output. You're the One is the band's first appearance on record, and they really stand out on these new recordings, exploring the concurrence between early punk and rock and roll with a relentless sense of melody in what amount to some really good songs! If the abrasive rock and roll of the Voidoids mixed with the tenacity of Pink Flag-era Wire and the glow of the Beach Boys sounds like your sort of savory jam, then get yourself a spoonful of the Elsinores! Tracklist: 1. You're the One 2. Losing 3. Thinking of You 4. Shadowplay This record is limited to 300 copies on black vinyl and features artwork from the band, including hand-stamped labels and a lyrics sheet. Co-released with Space Cadet Records. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------- The raging single from The Men is back in print! This record contains an alternate recording of the song "Think" from The Men - Leave Home LP on Sacred Bones Records barebarebacked with a really smokin' cover. In fact their only 7" record to date, "Think" was originally pressed in a run of only 300 copies that quickly evaporated last year, and so we cooked up a second batch! This pressing is 300 copies on black vinyl, with two-color screened covers, reversed from the first press and printed by Rich Samis. Tracklist: 1. Think 2. Gates of Steel --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------- Each of these records are available for $7.00 postage paid in the United States, payable via well-concealed cash, money order, or paypal to [email protected] . Email all questions, trade, wholesale, international orders, or otherwise to this address. You can also add these records to any order from the DISTRO for only $4.00 each! So much stuff in the works - I'm really excited about this summer! In the near future, expect the new ANCIENT SKY 7", CROSS / ARCANE RIFLES split 7", and a repress of BELOW - St. Anthony's Fire on cassette (just in time for their April weekend with TOMBSTALKER!) I'll have to leave it there for now, but expect more big news soon! We'll be seeing you! Get in touch at HTTP://KARMICSWAMP.ORG!
  5. sorry to make you feel this way rod... the HATE records have had crazy delays with the covers that the band screened making it down here, it has taken 3 months to ship a package of covers that wouldve taken maybe 6 hours to drive myself. so all orders with VELOZ records have gone out, but the HATE records have been continually delayed. i tried emailing everybody and letting them know what was going on, but its hard to hit everybody. rest assured that everybody that ORDERED a record WILL GET a record. it is my personal and business philosophy to fulfill every order that is placed with me and see it thru to the point where that record is spinning on your table and filling your home with turbulence. it is not however in my business practice to make a record appear in your life in under two weeks, or whatever ridiculous turnaround time these SAM'S CLUB distros offer in order to compensate for the truly shitty music they get you in the end. i want to thank everybody that ordered these records from me, and i look forward to hearing in the end that the wait was ultimately worth it.
  6. and you got one! 5 left now, and maybe 20 on black.
  7. handful of color copies left; black is down to thirty copies, then this record is GONE!
  8. <10 copies left on color thanks for the orders everybody!
  9. in the spirit of nice records, nasty jams, and getting two bands across the fucking country we've pressed 100 of the new 7"s from THE MEN on purple colored vinyl, and we're making those copies available for preorder NOW. preorder lasts as long as copies do, and will ship on january 3rd, 2011. this record is a raw punk onslaught, the first ever 7" single from THE MEN in fact, and delivers all the acrid four-track punishment you could expect and more. the a-side "THINK" (an alternate version of the single from their forthcoming LP on SACRED BONES) is a three-minute hardcore stomper bursting at the seams with existential loathing and self-revulsion, augmented by the vocal sounds of a one-man fist fight. couple that ferocity with an absolute throwdown of a DEVO cover on the b-side, and we've got a classic punk single on our hands! available for preorder (limited to 100) for $6.50 postage paid in the U.S. via paypal to [email protected]. international / distro / wholesale orders, just send an email to the above address! if you're fortunate enough to live west coast, make a point not to miss THE MEN & NOMOS when they hit your city! here are the dates: 1/6 Phoenix, AZ @ Sound Control w/ Elders, Hatred Surge, Mammoth Grinder 1/7 Los Angeles, CA w/ Rayos X, Mata Mata 1/8 Long Beach, CA @ Unity Church, w/ Timebombs, Francis Harold and the Holograms 1/9 San Francisco, CA @ Sub-Mission Art Space (Balazo), w/ Skin Like Iron 1/10 Oakland, CA @ the Swamp w/ Migraine, Hesitation Wounds, No Statik 1/11 Reno, NV @ the Wonderwell, 271 Wonder St w/ Huck, registeredsexoffender 1/12 Norcal, CA @ TBA 1/13 Portland, OR @ Dunes w/ Walls 1/14 Olympia, WA @ Oldschool Pizzeria, w/ White Boss, White Wards 1/15 Vancouver, BC @ TBA w/ Mundo Muerto 1/16 Seattle, WA @ the M in G-town w/ Walls, Big Crux and finally, we've added a bunch of distro updates, including the new WHITE GUILT LPs, seven inches from HATE, IMYNVOKAD, and HELLBENDER, rare GLASS COFFIN / TOMBSTALKER tapes and more! you can stream/download the new single and scope the distro out at HTTP://KARMICSWAMP.ORG
  10. afsdan, exactly! not to brag but another example - HATE 12" limited to 133 copies, $11ppd. pretty damn limited and likewise pretty damn affordable and brent your comments about a label's role being not to rip people off, but rather to get music into the hands of people that will enjoy it - right fucking on.
  11. thanks for the good words! HATE records are down to 13 or so copies on my end ... get on this if you want it!
  12. yeah i think that totally fulfilled chris' lifelong dream - to play a hatebreed set to a room full of drunk people!
  13. thanks for the kind words and support everybody! im not exactly on top of my game in the hype department but i feel like people are starting to get stoked on these records, and that rules! maybe the sentiment that good records can stand on their own merit in 2010 is more than blind idealism!
