The official release dat for W&T is 4/19...so HT won't have any till at least then...

You guys that don't live near record stores could just wait a few months and they'll be down to around their original retail price on eBay. It's just the initial 2 weeks or so where all the RSD releases are worth money for some reason, there isn't much from past years that goes for big money.

I HIGHLY doubt things like City And Colour, etc. are gonna be retail anywhere at any point after RSD.

i cant believe how many people im seeing buying from amazon... when travis is literally telling us hot topic will have it for half the price after shipping.

next person whos gonna buy one at amazon... give me $25 instead. ill buy us both a copy.

amazon must've been sold out, so i bought from soundstage.

pretty happy about this, even though it is my least favorite MM record, it's value will probably skyrocket again once this "found" box sells out.

I ordered from soundstagedirect as well. but this is my favorite record from modest mouse...i have been wanting it for years...

Agreed. New Medicines was a huge record when it came out.

Too bad the band just dropped off the face of the earth...they were literally my favorite band for a long long time...

I think because this was going to be my first release they were really sketched out as to how reliable i was...

Kind of glad it didn't happen at the time because a few months later my wife had some pretty ridiculous medical bills...

Still would LOVE to own that album on vinyl. Any of theirs really...but New Medicines was my favorite...

Every album UO puts out is better than the one before in my opinion...

This is kinda making me think I want that subsribtion.

I have a love/hate relationship with Record Store Day.

While I think it's awesome for the businesses that participate and the money they make, I hate that there are so many exclusives that you can only get in a record store. I know that's the point, but for those of us that live in areas where there are no record stores (closest one to me is about 3 1/2 hours away) it really kinda stinks.

There are at least 4 records that I would like to get this year, specifically City And Colour's "Sometimes". I'm sure a few will pop up online, but with ridiculous price tags and on ebay, which is always a pain.

Anyone else in my boat?

I've worked retail since I was legally permitted to work, and I can tell you....

Stealing leads to people losing their jobs.

While the company may be faceless, If a certain percentage of merchandise from a store gets stolen, they point a finger at the only people they can, the employees.

And then they get fired because you somehow thought it was "right" to TAKE something that doesn't belong to YOU.

How do you guys not get that?

It has nothing to do with Christianity or religion at all.

This has to do with basic human morals.

The ability to tell right from wrong...

There is no justifying stealing, at least on this level...

well went through all 59 pages last night and was hoping to see some more custom jobs to get ideas for my coffee table/window table/vinyl holder thingy im making this weekend.

90% had to be expedit or similar. all in all though some really nice collections and set ups!

I'm literally waiting on the wood glu to dry on my custom job as i type this...

But again, it's just a similar setup as the expedit...

Just thinner and put together better...haha...

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions. I'm not much of a handyman myself, but my grandfather is a genius with that stuff. i drew up some plans that i'll take to him later this week but i described it to him and he thinks he can build it pretty easily...

I'm wondering if anyone can recommend something other than the expedit to store records in a nice way. I have no problem with Ikea furniture other than that there are no Ikeas within a reasonable distance from where i live and shipping is too much.

I'm getting ready to move to a new place and want to store my records in the living room. So whatever i store them on needs to look decent, cause what I have them on now is not living room worthy...

I searched through a lot of the "Post your Record Storage Area" thread but didn't really see much other than expedits...

Can anyone recommend something I might find at target or home depot or lowes that works? Thanks!
