So this Friday I'm going to be making my first trip to the First Unitarian Church in Philly. Anything I need to know before I go? I know it's all ages but do they sell beer?I know it's pretty legendary and i'm excited!

Honestly, I don't think White Crosses is much better.  When New Wave came out it just felt awful. I think for people who started with Reinventing (or earlier) it was really just so castrated (no pun intended).  It felt boring, safe, lacking any of the fire that previous material had brought.

 

White Crosses felt like one of those "well it isn't going to be worse than New Wave" situations with my expectations.  I still spin White Crosses from time to time, however I very rarely put on New Wave.  For what it's worth, the b-sides would have been my favorite songs on the album.

 

If I may ask (and It doesn't matter to me, just curious) which was your first Against Me! album?

This right here. I was so disappointed. 

Saw them a few years ago and a third of their set was covers. Pretty lame.

Yeah it says that they offer a shuttle in the morning to the downtown area. Is this reliable or do you recommend getting a cab both ways?

A shuttle is there. Although, you need to get there early. There are usually a TON of people in line and the shuttle can only hold so many. Lats year, we split a cab with a couple of Aussies just to make sure we saw Elway. 

Also, the pool party preshow was pretty cool. Pineapple drinks with cheap refills and bands!

Tried to get Holiday Inn and it was gone by 12:04 which is bonkers. Oh well got the paramount and a pass.

That site runs so much damn smoother than last year.

The hotel thing was a nightmare I remember. People couldn't book and got shut out. 

They do sell single day passes, but they don't announce each day's line up until muuuuuuch closer to the fest
