Seriously though, if you're looking for a turntable with built-in speakers, it really doesn't matter; they're all pretty poor, both in sound quality and build. Pick your poison and the results will be the same no matter what.

This is all true, I have not come across one audiophile turntable with built in speakers. It's just not practical to have built in speakers

I did the 2011 no sleep sub, it was pretty sick but I'm not willing to drop that much again. I'll def do the run for cover one though.

Look on craigslist or used anywhere else. receivers are like tanks most of the time and can take a good beating and sound just fine. No point in getting a new one unless money isn't a concern.

I got an old Technics 1200, it was about the same as the carbon. I had heard great things about it and I couldn't be happier.

You will probably want to replace any cart that comes with the TT, the Shure 97mxe is a good budget friendly choice, from my experience it sounds pretty good for that price range.

If you don't have an amp, you can find some cheap ones on ebay or craigslist. Same with speakers, I would advise you to get headphones over speakers on a budget. At least for sound quality, usually speakers at the same price range as headphones will not have the same sound quality.

if you want to find out what sounds the best, read some reviews on carts and pre-amps, or you can judge for yourself. It doesn't hurt to try out different options as long as they are within your budget.

This sounds like a good idea. While Trump would be unintentionally funny, stewart would be a interesting character.

I wanted Trump. Who knows if he would have done a good job running the country, but I sure as hell would have loved to have seen what would happen. If Arnold could run California (Not saying he did a good or bad job mind you), then why not have a celeb president as well.

Just because people have money to drop doesn't mean they are pretentious. If you have the money to spend (or even if you don't), buy a record, that's your choice.

What makes me sick is the idea of using a tangible media format, e.g. a record, to try to impress people. It seems to me that some people get into record collecting for this reason.Then they realize they can't afford to keep up and begin to bitch about how shitty record collectors are.

If you head toward Lou's, there's spin in Carlsbad, about 20 mins from lous, a little expensive tho IMO. Then there's standards in vista, bout another 15 from spin, best in north county.

There's also off the record in carlsbad, It's def worth a trip (a little bit past lou's on highway 101). I thought m theory had a okish selection compared to lou's and off the record. I think i might just enjoy the drive so much to both of those because of the 101

I used to have a 3g, it was pretty bad but I loved the interface and how it felt (the os in general)

I just bought the evo 4g lte and so far its been amazing as well. The screen size is huge (4.7) and ICS and sense 4.1 are great.

I did love being able to whip my iphone out of my pocket, but the larger screen size is nice.
