  1. Ha, no kids.. it's the $70 general admission outdoor concert ticket that's the problem. Especially after spending almost $200 on C&C vinyl- just can't afford it.

Ah I see, yeah I know what you mean. I really dislike all these exclusive tour 7"s that he is releasing and the album bundles were actually reasonably priced, but shipping killed the deal. $70 for GA outdoors is not ideal either. It's one of the reasons I am not a big fan of festivals. I prefer reserved seating, does that show my age?

  2. Love sleeping sickness as well...and i almost pulled the trigger on this one when I saw it:

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/281073104469?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649

It originally went up and I was talking to the seller and they were looking at $1800.

Then it went down to $1200...then it popped up for bidding with no reserve.

Wow, Ken Reaume. I saw him open for Dallas at his Harbourfront Centre gig back in 2006...those were the days. Didn't know Ken was a visual artist too!

  3. This. Exactly. I give up. It's not worth collecting anymore. There seem to be variants for everything -- it's become the norm and not the exception. I just can't afford it anymore so I will just have to be happy with my "Missing" and "The Death Of Me" EPs.

But I am still waiting for the Covers 7"! Tour variants and festive colour variants though? Meh.

I created this thread two years ago when C&C first started having tour exclusive releases....

I don't think anyone realized what a monster it would become... thankfully I'm not a variant collector, and except for the Tegan & Sara split 7" (which I managed to snag for a normal price off the webstore), I haven't really found any of the exclusive releases worth my money.

I do not envy those of you where your OCD tendencies enter the realm of C&C variants. It's honestly one of the main reasons for my growing disdain of Dallas....

(for the record, I don't care that he left AOF, you gotta do what you gotta do, tension usually doesn't help make good music (...though there are exceptions, see Massive Attack's 'Mezzanine'))

  4. very close.

    little hell

    black (test) /10

    black /4392

    blue /550

    red /560

    orange/pink /302

    covers 7"

    black (vip) /45

    teal /330

    www.dinealonerecords.com/pressing

Thank you both. So the orange/pink is the rarest? Maybe I should have picked one up and then sold my black one. :|

I hope the Dine Alone repress of the covers 7" is also in the teal...it's a beautiful colour.

In other news, why is the "Sometimes" RSD LP selling for peanuts on eBay?...I paid a lot for mine. :(

  5. good news / bad news.

the good - the band exclusive colour of little hell should be up this week or next. keep an eye on their twitter / facebook for updates.

Jesus, how many more colour variants will there be for "Little Hell"?! Which one is rarest/most valuable?

the bad - there are no left over copies of the covers 7" from the amphitheater. all the copies that weren't picked up are being mailed to the ticket purchasers. which could mean more copies will end up on ebay. also, remember we're doing an official pressing of this sometime in the future, and it will be going up as a digital release before then too.. so don't buy anything off ebay unless youre a variant collector and want / "need" everything.

I want to cry. Which colour was the VIP version of the covers 7"? Black or teal? Does anyone know how many of each? I knew I should have gone to that show, but I dislike the venue so I didn't attend...

  6. too many stupid comments to address in proper sentences..

    - yes, stores received them

    - 500 were distributed to both US/Canada via Universal/Fontana (200-Canada / 300-US)

    - the fine folks at SRC got a few copies for helping us assemble these packages, without them NO stores in the US would have copies.. ZERO.

    - not that its anyones business but the Australian copies (3 for all of Australia!), SRC copies and all other promos (included us getting more copies to a store in Toronto that didnt receive any) were taken from our overrun.. thus not affecting the 500.

    its tough, we made 500..

What about Europe? He's playing a gig at the Royal Albert Hall in London at the end of April...with a capacity of 5000. It's sold out. Doesn't that kind of mean he has fans there that would want this release?
