  1. "But seriously, Scott said that he listened to the entire thing and didn't like, so he wrote the review like that. It was mentioned that you guys (in the band, and fans alike) wished that he would have been more professional. But since when does being a professional mean being positive? He was professional in the sense that he performed his job (which he does as a profession) by writing down his opinion on a certain band and their certain sound. " patron, you bring up a good point. But I'm going to bring reality back to the situation. This is what happened. Ice Nine Kills, others, and I read the review and were convinced that he didn't even listen to more than 20 seconds of it since what he is saying is not accurate (I know it's very opinion driven, but most people that are into rock music in general would probably agree). example: "bland and forgettable" - when the band is referred to as ""wow, these guys have really nailed songwriting down to perfection". The next moment you'll get another tempo switch and some sugar-sweet guitars doing scales on the background over pop-punk style harmonious clean vocals, before you'll get to one of the catchiest choruses you'll have heard all year." (http://rockfreaks.net/?page=albumreviews&id=914) also, "ice nine kills have made my job easier by releasing one of the best Ep's i have heard in the last couple of years." (http://www.kingbanana.net/kb2/rreviews/review.php?ID=22) to get back to the point, Scott didn't listen to the whole ablum, in fact, we never sent him one. Scott admits this in his original thread where he said "For the record, I don't think I did bother to listen to more than 20 seconds of their absolutely horrendous, embarrassingly slapped-together screamy bullshit," He only back pedals later when he gets bashed by 300+ people on this site and absolutepunk.net for the poor review and learns from Alternative Press that his job is at stake for such an idiotic stunt and not doing his job properly! Maybe we'll get a Music Editor at AP that listens to the music now! Yay!
  2. "Dude do u have to call em niggers? thats a burn being im on ur side and black. " - that was a uncalled for... someone should remove that Scott, Why did you review Ice Nine Kills when you admit to not liking screamo and when you didn't even listen to more than 20 seconds? Isn't your job as a writer for AP to LISTEN to the music and then write a review? Sorry Scott, but that was poor to rip on such a good local band that's working very hard and that has good music. Maybe if the first 20 seconds were so terrible to you, you could've passed it off to somebody that is more familiar with the genre... just a thought. I'm curious to see what other people think of this? "Let's Rage"
  3. "I've seen INK play live, it was awesome. Then they came to my house and partied with my friends and I, it was awesome. How many of you niggers can say you got hot girls to pose in torn-up band merch. half naked? How many of you have 84 fan pictures? So now that you've all had your rants of none-sense, let us all go eat out coco and listen to some Aerosmith. poopsex. End of story." GORGEOUS!!!
  4. I've listened to many of the bands posting negative replies to Ice Nine Kills and can honestly say I like most of them. I'm a fan of all different types of music and I appreciate a lot of the music you all listen to. Screamo isn't my number 1 genre of choice by any means, but these guys clearly have something unique and amazing to them. Even if Scott only listened to the first 20 seconds - what about the 2 opening riffs? The chorus is great in the song, the unique song structure is refreshing and even the outro is epic and fun to listen to. Having said that, even if you aren't a fan of "screamo", most could appreciate the musicianship and notch above "screamo" Ice Nine Kills really is. "In its essence, it has the same effect as Saosin did back in 2003, making the emo/screamo genre relevant once again with a sound as original as if the genre was only invented in 2007. Don't miss this. [9]" Gorgeous.
