The problem is that lately he has been paying for items and a week or so later the payments are reversed by his bank. So once you ship out the record-you lose everything, even if you had purchased tracking.

I don't think he knew the bank reversal was going to happen to be honest. Regardless, it is still theft.

He told me he is returning the LP I sold him. He gave me tracking numbers, so hopefully that is legit.

As someone who had the most feedback on Skylab Commerce, I should be considered a rather reliable/decent seller as well. They said they will take action on even ONE report, though they might not be able to make an arrest until they get multiple reports. but once the amount gets over 400 dollars it puts it in a serious category where the state can press charges themselves. " I pretty much cannot file a police report as I live in Oakland California and they do not give two shits about crime in my city (let alone outside of the city).

A friend from another board sold a $150 boxset to Will Taylor: "this guy ripped me off. that bad religion boxset i was selling? he contacted me through DF and paid me 150 bucks for it. today, i found that it had been reversed. im am not against driving to florida. i like florida. " Same dude called up the phone # he provided and let the person know that the phone number is going to go on a fraud report. That person is incredibly pissed off at this little kid.

That's cool that you are telling people not to buy/sell to this guy but not everyone knows his name. I didn't even know who this dude was until I googled his email address and this thread came up (and I post on this board!). Still waiting to hear back from paypal.

I don't know. I asked them why they wouldn't put a hold on it-but they ONLY put holds on e-checks and nothing else. So kinda SOL there. He is being referred to Paypal's fraud department. In the past, people have faced jail time due to fraud using paypal (Josh from Autofact is a great example).

Well, I just got off the phone with Paypal and it looks like the payment was made by his bank due to (most likely) insufficient funds in his bank account. I gave them information and they are going to refer him to the fraud department it looks like. Fingers crossed.

He just sent me this message: "yeah i am looking into what happened but had these even shipped yet? as i havent recieved it . "

Hey dude, I sent Paypal an explanation and used your transaction ID that you sent me via PM. Hopefully that helps my case as well.

I went ahead and sent eBay a scanned copy of my receipt and then wrote a long note filled with his past eBay names as well as a link to this post-showing that he has performed this scam for a while now. I also sent him the other kid's dispute number so Paypal can verify this is happening to someone that is not me as well. I don't really have much faith that Paypal will side with me despite having flawless feedback (740) and this person being a new account w/ limited and very sketchy feedback. Anyway, I did what I think I could. Wish I could do more. I'll be out around $40 total if this reversal goes through.

Fuck, I don't have the tracking number 'cause kid didn't pay for it (hell, I lose money on shipping due to paypal & eBay BOTH taking money outta the shipping price). Fuck me and FUCK this thief.

I've never had a payment reversal before, I am just guessing. But looks like he took money + records from multiple people and is now trying to cash out.

He did send me this message before he paid: "yes i am having some trouble paying direct thru ebay as its not letting me use my bank account so if you could give the your paypal today i will send the money over directly by tonight as i am going out of town ansd want to get this settled . or you could send me an invoice today [email protected] thanks ! " I just gotta wait til Paypal lets me submit info. Blargh... But if he opened a number of reversals on the same day HOPEFULLY paypal/ebay will see something is up.

This thief won a record off me on eBay a few weeks ago-waited about a week to pay me (on the 7th) and opened up a reversal today. Fuck me, I am going to lose money because of this thief. Wish eBay/paypal would be serious about seller protection from thieves like this.

Going to the post office tomorrow. Removed a few other sold items.
