  1. - I moved to Norway from Minnesota two years ago. Traded in my lady for a Norwegian one, learned the laguage, fully enjoy the benefits of a welfare state and am economically and socially better off than I ever have been. I entertain the thought of dropping everything and moving back to the states every night when the head hits the pillow despite hating just about everything we (Americans) supposedly stand for.

    - I try to smuggle in records from the mailbox after explaining the reason we're broke is because of the electricity bill.

    - I regret every mushroom I ever consumed in high school. Seeing everything behind the curtain at an early age leaves little room for the search that should last a lifetime. Still struggle socially because of this. (eeeeven though hallucinations aren't the 'truth' of things, they definitely felt that way at the time.)

  2. BBC's Seven Ages of Rock is pretty rad. 7 part series that covers everything from Buddy Holly to The Libertines. Totally hopped over talking about Radiohead in the Brit Pop, English Alternative episode.

  4. Just walked into reckless in Chicago and got everything I wanted. I got the last copy of Brendan benson ($11), Silversun pickups ($12) and Ryan Adams ($3). They had a bunch of wilco $12.

I think they have copies of all of em online but they'll. E gone by the end of the day.

Is Reckless a chain or just a Chicago establishment? It's been a while since I was last in Chitown. Just remember seeing a few of them scattered across town and wondered if they're other places in the states.
