  1. Stoked on finally being able to grab the Junior Battles and Farewell Continental LPs!

Just a heads up, I picked up the Junior Battles album and the B-side skips quite a bit. I'm not the only one that had this problem either. Maybe the newest pressing doesn't have any issues, but I just thought I'd warn you. Here's the original thread:

  2. Got my black copy yesterday and it's flawless. Maybe if you crybabies weren't such self-righteous, entitled pricks all the time, you wouldn't have received this karmic smackdown. If receiving a warped record is the worst thing to happen to you this month, then it's been a pretty good month. Perspective, motherfuckers.

Just kidding. Sorta. Seriously though, my copy is perfect, as is everything else I've ordered from Asbestos.

  3. What's the expected ship date for these? I'm moving August 10th, wondering what address to give.

I got a shipping notice already, but I also ordered the PTSBBAM print, so the shipping could just be for that.

40 including shipping. apologies, should have clarified

For what it's worth, ordering the print plus the live 7" has the same shipping cost.

  4. You know something? As a hardcore MtB uber-fanboy...much like Scotty H. there...I was at first turned off somewhat by OMNI. It didn't initially gel with me...it was a different sound and style for the band compared to all prior releases. But the more I listened to it, it grew on me and now competely dig it.

Funny, I'm the exact opposite. I really dug OMNI at first, but it held very little lasting value for me. I'd now say it's my least favorite MTB album. I don't hate it, but I've listened to it the least out of their entire catalog.

All that said, I'm always stoked for more MTB.

  5. I got a dozen of these Records On Walls "frames" for Christmas and I love them. I have 11 of them lining my main entry hallway, and one over my turntable to display the cover of whatever's currently playing. They're not cheap though, and had I not gotten them as a gift I would definitely have gone the DIY route.

  6. This album rules so hard. I'm seeing them this Friday and can't wait to buy the LP. Has anyone seen them on this tour yet? What's their merch situation like? Do they have all the 7-inches, LPs, etc.? Anyone know pricing?

Saw them last Monday in Seattle. They had what appeared to be all their LPs, and they were $15 each. I only got the newest one - if you didn't see my posts, my copy was defective, which has apparently happened to a few people, but Polyvinyl is hooking me up with a non-defective copy. They also had shirts (obviously), and they may have had some 7-inches, but I don't exactly remember, so don't hold me to that.

  7. I've bought so many records from Polyvinyl over the years, I wouldn't be surprised if they replaced it for you anyways. Super cool dudes, and always willing to help their customers out. It's worth a shot anyway. Great label.

Nailed it. It took a few days, but I heard back from them and they're sending me a fresh copy asap. I guess they've had a few people complain about this and someone posted about it on reddit, so they asked me to take a picture of my copy and send it to them to prove that I actually had a copy. Whatever, it wasn't an inconvenience.

  8. Just my opinion, I am curious as to why so many people do collect all the colors/pressings though.

I'm not a variant collector, but I understand that "collector mentality" - wanting to have a complete set of something. I used to have that in me back when I collected comic books and baseball cards. I thankfully don't anymore, as I couldn't imagine buying an album several times over no matter how much I love it.

I will say that it occasionally pisses me off when there's a very limited quantity of an album and a bunch of copies are being hoarded by variant collectors. But them's the breaks, I suppose.

  9. I don't want to be that guy, but I love ordering from them.

I mostly agree. I have had larger orders take about 6 weeks to get to me, but for the most part they've always been responsive when I've had issues. A few of their mistakes have actually been in my favor. So I can't really complain.

The biggest complaint I have is when I get a shipping notification, but the USPS status doesn't change from "Shipping Info Received" for up to 2 weeks. To me, that says the order is boxed up with a shipping label on it, but they have yet to take it to the Post Office. Why they don't make daily drops is baffling to me.

  10. I just picked this up at their show on Monday (great fucking show, btw) and the B-side has a lot of scuff marks on the first track that make it pretty much unlistenable; the other 3 tracks and the A-side play fine. I'm pretty bummed. I emailed Polyvinyl, but I don't really know what else I can do to get a clean copy since I bought it at a show. Bug the band on Facebook? Suggestions?
