How many copies did they make of the Leatherface/HWM split on colored vinyl? Was it 300 or 500? I forget...
-
Andy, Dave bought that shirt in Chicago. And ever since then, I've been cursing myself for not getting it myself. Did you get one of these fine people to pick it up for you?
Anyways, if there's anyone here going to an upcoming show, and would be willing to pick that shirt up (the guy sleeping on the bench), size L....and ship it to Norway, I'll pay an additional 5 bucks (besides the shirt and the shipping) as a thank you.

Oh sweet, he'll be happy to hear that!

When they played in Chicago, The Gaslight Anthem stole the entire show in my opinion. So good. My friend picked up the Gaslight Anthem record, but it was on black vinyl.

In my opinion, the metro show was amazing from beginning to start. Sundowner only played for about 20-25 minutes, but they played my two favorite songs from the album (Midsummer Classic and Endless Miles).
Next up, The Falcon tore shit up, with the band wearing anti-Lawrence Arms shirts and sunglasses. I didn't expect to see Chris playing with them (I thought maybe they'd have Rob Kellenberger on drums with Neil playing guitar), but he seemed to have tons of fun. All in all, they were even better than I would've expected.
It seems people were somewhat divided when it comes to American Steel.....which I don't really understand, cuz they were amazing! They played a good mix of old and new songs (not that I remember all the songs played, but at least Every New Morning, Got A Backbeat (or whatever that song is called), Maria, Shrapnel, Sons Of Avarice, Dead And Gone, Old Croy Road, Razorblades) and they had lots of energy on stage.
And do I even need to say how great The Lawrence Arms were? Since this post is getting so long already, I don't think I need to. The second Broadways song they played was The Kitchen Floor, by the way. Everyone in the crowd (it was packed!) seemed to have a lot of fun. A great experience for someone (me) not getting to see TLA all that often.
And afterwards we hung out with the TLA and the American Steel guys at that bar next door (The Gingerbread Man, or something like that) for a while, and I even got a kiss on the cheek by a certain (drunk) Chris McCaughan. Teeheehee!
So that's my story, a great time all around.

Geez, when I saw the name of this thread, the very first thought that came to mind was "I beg your pardon?!"
-
- A CD-R that Chris Ballew (of The Presidents Of The USA) sent me some years ago with two unreleased Giraffes songs...that to my knowledge still hasn't leaked anywhere.
- The memory (what, it's something I "own"!) of seeing The Lawrence Arms live for the first time. (And Brendan dedicating their entire set to me. )

I can NOT get enough of this song. I was dancing to it like a crazy person earlier today...and I never dance! (I am a crazy person though)

Yeah, I'm a frequent fatwreck.com visitor, and I've never seen the colored vinyl of a release sell out in 24 hours before. Hell, I remember when I bought "Surfer" by NOFX a year or two after the release, and I still got the blue version.
And that's good news about the new NOFX!

I found out they're playing in Chicago October 10th. That's the week I'm travelling to Chicago! The Draft and Gaslight Anthem on the 10th and Lawrence Arms/The Falcon/Sundowner/American Steel on the 11th. So stoked!

"200 white colored vinyl, no longer available"

I don't really listen to music on my computer all that much, but here's mine:

Welcome back Andy, I was kinda wondering where the hell you went!
-
Ordered! I wonder how long it will take for those 200 to be gone...
-
Just in case anyone but me cares to know, I wrote No Idea and asked them, here's their reply:
"this is what var said about your record:
yeah, that's legit. I believe we did like 300 of the first and second
press in split color. so... he has the OTHER one. Guess we should ask
Dave... he may remember too. Or maybe the site is wrong and it was only
the black split. ???"

Just got my record from mrbananagrabber. It was VERY well packaged, and he shipped it real quick! Do not hesitate to buy/trade with him!

I won a copy of this record on eBay, and it's a split green/black color. The closest I come to this by looking at No Idea's discograpy is split green/CLEAR:
1st Pressing: 700 Dark Green, 300 Clear/Green split color (11/99)
2nd Pressing: 700 Dark Green, 300 Light Green (1/00)
3rd Pressing: 550 Blue (4/02)
4th Pressing: 330 Red (11/05)
5th Pressing: 200 Burnt Clear (9/11/07)
Anyone here that could shed some light on this?

Haha, just my way of pointing out the low percentage of female participation on this board! (Though the ones that are here, rule).
Or maybe I just wanna look at pictures of handsome men...
-
I can't help but wonder if we'll ever see the "I've got a hot BOYFRIEND" thread on this board....
-
Sweet!
And I've been waiting for that Sundowner LP to happen! Wonderful news.

Wow, I always thought I had the "Dark purple" of the 11th pressing, but looking at Impact's picture, it seems it's the "Purple" one I have. You learn something new every day!

Scott, are you sure you're not talking about the Diver 7" ?
I wrote to Nitro a couple of months ago, and their reply was "1000 copies, all on grey"
