The scene w/ the zombie in the well was rad, but I was kind of bored for this episode.

If you want the work look and feel, then you gotta go Red Wings.

If you want a casual boot, go for Clarks Desert Boots (but they're not good for the elements, especially fall/winter). These run large, I'd recommend trying on in a store or ordering 1/2 to 1 size smaller.

Also, def. go brown, not black.

That Gigantic movie was awful.

You can still smoke in a lot of places in Pittsburgh. I hate it!

The thing that bothers me most is that it makes you smell so foul and your clothes too. When I come home from the bars some nights I strip down and Febreeze the hell out of my clothes.

It's so bad at this one bar down the street from my place that I have to shower afterwards because I smell so awful.

I think if we're going to discuss stuff from the comics we should put some spoiler stuff around it. Not everyone wants to read the comics, the show is insanely popular right now. I know the comic has been out for a while, but the show is all new for a lot of folks. This isn't like Jeff complaining about the X-Men (never forget).

This episode was kinda good, but it annoyed me. Lori, stop touching your face. Also, is it THE WALKING DEAD or THE WALKING DEER?! STFU about this deer.

WHERE'S CARL'S HAT?!?! The first scene next week better be him asking for it, hah.

I liked the last scene w/ Shane. We see that the show is willing to do something really fucked up! I guess it will also help people Ok with Event A if it does ever go down.

Oh man, I forgot to mention Cloud Nothings. Wow, love that band, so many catchy songs!

Like Scott and I said, Yuck sucks live. Record is phenomenal though.

I dunno, "King of the Beach" is near perfect for that sound. The new Male Bonding is less low-fi, kinda like the new Pains of Being Pure at Heart, but more 90s-ish and generally better imo.

I wasn't digging the latest record from The Paints of Being Pure at Heart, but that first one was solid.

Also check out the new Male Bonding album, their first one is good too, but the new one is similar to this Yuck record.

One thing to note about the Walking Dead, both the comics and the show is that it's supposed to be about the people. The zombies are just kind of there and while they help make the story great, if you're just watching/reading because of them you will be let down to some extent. I feel that the show leans on this much more, but that's just how TV is in general.

Kind of like how Lost is about the people and not all the awesome stuff, heh.

The Talking Dead was just a huge circle jerk. It was ok and having Oswalt on and Posehn next is nice. I hope it helps generate money for the show.

I'd say my opinion of iOS 5, but I can't update, seeing as my iPod gets stuck on "Backing up iPod touch" every time. >.> I've tried stuff on the net, and can't get it to work. Let it run all night. Same small portion of the bar.

I vaguely remember something like that happening to me before. I think I had to delete my old backups to get it to work.

Look into that if you haven't already.

Updated, and now only 1/10 of my music will sync. Tried every recommend solution I could find in an hour and a half of searching. Not impressed.

I had an issue w/ some pictures not sycning. I just took off sycning, then put it back on and everything was fine.

I saw an article yesterday and now I can't find it, but apparently iCloud is using A LOT of battery life. I've disabled it for now as well as wireless syncing and I'm close to normal again.

iTunes Match will be your music in the cloud, but it won't be active until the end of the month.

No one is sure if it's streaming or not. I talked to a dev who has been using it and he said that it caches it, so I dunno. Still pretty cool I guess.

It runs so slow on the original iPad.

iOS 5 goes live probably around 1pm EST today.

I've been using it for about a week and it's great! Wireless sycning is awesome, the new notifications are phenomenal, and it overall makes the phone feel a little faster, especially Safari.

Dead Island is a great game! I rented it, can't wait to buy it once the price drops though.

I recommend XBMC over a full OS install for a HTPC.

Running XBMC Live

XBMC Live is a Linux backend that boots right into XBMC.

XBMC is hands down the best media center software in the world.

If you actually want a computer hooked up to the TV, I would then suggest perhaps a Mac Mini, they're small and quiet. Load that up w/ Plex, which is a fork of XBMC.
