That manchester orchestra record is actually worth something?
The winning bid was $12.50... I just want it badly.
basically you place a high bid (normally the max you're willing to pay) right before the auction closes (5 seconds or so)
Damnit, I thought that's what I did!

Yeah... I convinced myself not to obsess over albums that I already have on CD though. If I find them, great, but I'm not going to spend an excessive money on something unless I'm just dying for it.
-
Not really any chance of me stumbling over something like that in a used record store in South Texas... I am gonna make it to Waterloo in Austin when I visit my brother this weekend though.
-
It was an epic fail though. Kind of a joke within my friends. I have Richard Simmons hair to the max, but black, thicker, and not as homosexual.
-
$8, wow. I wonder if he sold it or kept it. I wouldn't mind a copy of Origin of Symmetry either...
-
I don't really understand the concept. I'm an inexperienced eBay user. That Manchester Orchestra album is the only one I've ever bid on...
-
I really hope so! I got "sniped" (is that the term?) on that Manchester Orchestra album last month. Refresh said two seconds left as the high bidder for a steal at $11.75. Refresh again and I lost to some guy who big $12.50. I died.
-
yeah, it took me a while to track it down and thanks to the VC user "bonus" I finally got it.
Gah, you OWN a copy? I saw one on eBay a couple weeks ago... It was like $70 or something with around 4 days left.

Definitely Illuminate! This December... not so much. I don't like it nearly as much, with the exception of a few songs.
Everyone's said The Devil and God but I'll throw that out there too. I'll add As Cities Burn's Come Now, Sleep.

Yeah, unfortunately you're right. My issue is that I got into vinyl collecting far too late and a lot of my favorite eleases from just a few years ago like Good News For People Who Love Bad News, The Artist In The Ambulance, and I'm Like a Virgin Losing a Child are all hyped and overpriced on ebay.

Ugh I want Absolution so badly. My favorite Muse song ever is "Falling Away With You".
At least I can dream...
-
The problem is those that purchase that '1' to resell it.

Jeeze Futures is expensive. So is Young Machetes.

I store my records within this man's body hair.
-
Motion City Soundtrack - Commit This To Memory
City and Colour - Bring Me Your Love
Circa Survive - On Letting Go
I also wish someone would repress Modest Mouse's Good News For People Who Love Bad News and Thrice's The Artist In The Ambulance. I want them both, but not for $50-60 each.
And Muse needs a North American vinyl label like right fucking now.

I chose to buy the resealable sleeves when I recently bought my first batch. I guess the extra protection is nice but it's already annoying. Just another layer to undo before I get to the good stuff.
-
You should definitely post some pictures of the records when they come in!
-
Here's an odd question. Whenever a record gets repressed, do they have test presses for each of that repressings? Or is/are the test press from the 1st press the end-all-be-all for that particular record?
Never thought about that... I'd assume that they only test press it for the first pressing.

Leave before you get me banned. And bring me the damn vinyl.
-
How many times are you going to make me. Damnit!
Give me the damn vinyl.
-
I was begging for sex you bastard. Give me the damn vinyl.
-
Damn you and damn your smileys. It's a 5" with a shit cover song that you got for free at Hot Topic.
GO DIE.
-
Go back to your PSP boards. Or so do some work.
-
Shut the fuck up and get off this board you douche.
But seriously. Leave.
