  1. I bought both Blue and Self-Titled over a year ago, for what I thought at the time were outrageous prices (about half of now). Glad I got em when I did, it sucks that these amazing albums are so hard and expensive to get. And they're by no means awesome pressings, very simple covers, no gatefolds or anything special. I'd love to see these and OOTV get the full treatment for a reissue.

  2. I think if you're offered a half refund, I'd say to wait and call again to get the full refund...

Did the same. Especially if you had a $100+ order, doing it in couple chunks might make it easier. You'll most likely get a different supervisor each time, handing out ~50 or so dollars doesn't seem like a lot to them, many hundreds may give them reservations to just hand out refunds willy-nilly.

2, calls, around a half hour total time on the phone, and I have my $145 back.

  3. Paypal isn't keeping an army of Ivy League educated lawyers on staff to do nothing. Remember, we're not even at the month point from the final missed deadline, and people sporadically calling turned into waves of callers asking for refunds all within the last couple weeks. (myself included) Now that a 'case' or whatever they would call it has been built and MTS is on their radar, you betcha RJ is in their crosshairs. I'd give him a month or less before criminal charges are filed. For his sake, hope he put a little away to make bail...

  4. Just got off the phone with PayPal. I had been putting this off for a while (I can find few things more nauseating than being transferred around a call center), but things went well.

The first person is the gatekeeper. They will do little for you, except read off the '45-day policy script'. Just say supervisor. Call transferred. A couple minutes later, on the phone with the supervisor. Had not yet received a complaint about MTS, but very cool about the issue nonetheless. Very understanding, and right off the bat offered me a half refund. A little more explanation of how I'm a longtime and very active PayPal user, he agrees to refunding $100 of my $145 without hesitation. Case closed, I'm (somewhat) happy, the whole process took less than 15 minutes.

    All you need to remember:

    1) Ask for a supervisor right away. Don't waste your breath with the first person. They can't do anything.

    2) Plead the case, keep your cool, and don't take no for an answer. Right away mention how long you've been a PayPal customer.

    3) Don't take the first offer. If you're persistent, don't even take the second. But you have to ask for a better deal. There is one.

    Hope it helps.
